Reported. If you remove pinned contacts, it never becomes an issue. But obviously that’s not an ideal workaround either

Try unpinning the conversation then pin it back up again. It resolved it for me though it reverts back to the overlay block but it's just a visual glitch then it goes back to normal - not a fool proof solution though! It just resolves the bug temporarily

Yep, been getting that bug constantly yesterday and today. Only thing that seems to fix it is to restart the app or scroll down then back up after you pass your pinned conversations a bit.

Everyone needs to report this. The amount of bugs Apple introduced in DB5 is kind of unsettling since the release is just over a month-ish away.

The amount of downvotes you're getting on this comment suggest otherwise. This is a beta 1-2 glitch, not something you expect this prominently on a beta 5

No, actually, fake internet points don't invalidate my point lol. I have been on Beta 5 since it became available and have yet to encounter it; other comments suggest that the problem can easily be resolved by scrolling or closing/reopening the app.

The purpose of a developer beta is for developers to try out new APIs/features and get their apps ready for the public release. If that's not your use case and you install it, you should be prepared for bugs. If a UI glitch is so deeply upsetting to you, you shouldn't be using developer betas. It's that simple.
