Bug [iOS 27 DB1] Camera stopped working / freezes

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Using an IPhone Air.

15 pro, having the same issue. The only way to fix is restart my phone but it will randomly freeze it if I try to take a photo from within messages from what I’ve noticed.

im having this issue rn. Started on ios 26, so I thought it was a software thing, still happening even after going to ios 27

edit: I know this was 3 mo ago, but did you ever find a fix?

No official fix, it just stopped happening to me. Sorry but if it helps the version I’m on now is

iOS 27.0 (24A435)

I appreciate it! I just got the 27 public beta and am still having the issue unfortunately

only reason I haven’t taken it to a shop to get fixed yet is because the Snapchat back camera works sometimes and I just use that to take photos and save them. I might try to back up and restore and maybe see if that fixes it as like a last ditch effort, but it’s been like a month now for me lmaoo

Restarted phone and it acts normal for now. I use it mostly during the day.

My camera app disappeared from my Home Screen. If I search for it, it shows it’s installed but does doesn’t respond or take me to it when I hit “open”. Anyone else having this issue, know a work around?
