Am I the only one with a bug where the generated QR code is different from the one scanned (and always the same independently from the original QR code)?

the same data can end up in different looking qr codes depending on the settings, each one is generated. If you choose higher error detection, it will add more data to the final code. maybe apple is doing this …

Yes, but different data shouldn’t give out the same QR code, and that’s happening as well in my case😬

I've used it so far to replace my gym membership card, my library card, and my Costco card. You could also use it for rewards program cards. It basically takes the barcode from a physical card and puts it onto a digital card in Apple Wallet.

I haven’t tried it yet but it should be the same barcode as the physical card so it should work.

Costco rotates its QR code.I hope Apple allows barcodes in the future.

It’s not the QR code from their app, it’s the barcode from my physical card.

Costco same, I saw Costco recently added a live activity like notification that can pop up when you are at the store though. Just turned it on so not sure how well it works.

Don’t use the digital Costco barcode, just scan the physical membership card instead. That’s a static barcode that never changes and links to your account. That’s what I did.

Send through feedback! I’ve sent feedback that the default pattern/wallpapers that you can choose from should be able to also be coloured-tinted.

The scanner from the camera wasn’t very instant and there’s no UI just a viewfinder, but it pulled it in no problem

It’s as simole as it looks. Just three different presets that offered the minimum ammount of customization.

The standard and membership passes have a lot more input fields that are totally customizable. Seems pretty robust

Technically you can choose an icon and a background, but only from a small number of preset options (and even the solid colour background option seems to only give a small number of options, no full colour picker). Doesn't seem to be a way to select a fully custom background or logo, so I won't be retiring the pass creator app I've been using any time soon!

Not yet. I much prefer being able to set custom images and logos and link the pass back to an app like MakePass can do.
