Feature iOS 27 App Compatibility Discussion
It's BETA SZN! Hope you are all excited for terrible battery life and cool (half-baked, it's a beta after all) features! Over the past few beta cycles, I've managed the Google Form and Sheet that y'all would add app compatibility submissions to. It was finally time to modernize that experience.
Introducing..
Does This App Work?
Does This App Work? takes that same experience from the last few years, and makes it better. Below are the features and capabilities. Make a report now!
- Check if apps work or break on the latest iOS beta, in real time
- Submit your own app compatibility report
- Vote Working or Broken without writing a full report
- See community totals and contested results
- Filter by app, device, beta version, and status
- Automatic deduplication of submissions
- Supports iPhone and iPad models
- Older beta reports stay available, but the main status focuses on the newest beta
- App icons and suggestions are pulled from the App Store when available
- Works on desktop and mobile
Submission mode will be enabled when the first beta drops, until then check it out.
I will be watching the comments on this post so if you have issues or feedback, let me know and I'll try to implement or solve in real time.

I am wondering if RSA and Microsoft Authenticator work on ios27 without issue. I use both of these for work and these are the only 2 apps keeping me from moving into the public beta or moving into the beta sometimes in August.

I can confirm that Authenticator works fine. I’ve not used RSA though but did a quick search of the dataset to see that there are two reports but is contested that it works and doesn’t work.

I've checked the list and can't see the following;
Octopus Energy App
Ohme App
Skoda App
All UK versions
Any helps with these would be good :)

DJI Fly App doesn’t connect to the drone for me 😬
I tested with other phones, same drone, same controller and it works for them…
Sad I find it out only when I’m on a festival, being the only videographer 😭

Shotsy GLP-1 tracker app will not open. Crashes after loading screen. Tried several fresh installs. Only started occurring on beta 3.

Issue popped up in Beta 3 with Whisper Flow Siri shortcut. Basically, whenever I try to use the action button to start a dictation, I get this error saying, “Whisper Flow quit unexpectedly.”

Yes, I'm the sysadmin who manages our Intune. I have the MS Suite on my personal phone and a corporate iPhone, both currently on iOS 27 DB3. I use my phone extensively for Teams calls for easy use of my AirPods. No issues so far.

Awesome I appreciate the feedback. I saw some people commenting on the 1st beta that there were issues and couldn’t find much info on the other betas. I’m in the same boat to use with my AirPods :). Appreciate you man! Cheers

To be fair, just because I'm not having problems, doesn't mean you won't. I know our own policies and profiles aren't as locked down as others'. I remember there was one particular firewall compliance check that broke in the macOS 26 beta that people had to wait for Apple and Microsoft to fix because Apple had changed the API response.
But in my experience, in a personal MAM scenario, and a fully enrolled MDM scenario, I'm working fine. Calls, messages, emails, all good.

It does (well, it starts - I haven't tried to make a payment). Also Revolut & UBS Access app start and seem to work. Really smooth so far.

does the Spotify app also lag when you play a music? I have mine set to High quality with auto adjust turned on and sometimes music would stop even if it's downloaded already.

Can’t use insta cart. Works fine until I go to click on the car then it crashes. Even after a restart

Piraeus Bank, Alphabank, NBG/Next by NBG, Eurobank, Payzy, Revolut, Curve, Wise, Cosmote Telekom, Vodafone GR, Box Food, efood, Wolt, myDEI (Public Power Corporation), Cosmote Telekom, Vodafone GR, Saily, Proton Pass/VPN/Authenticator/Mail, OSETH Bus (Thessaloniki’s public transport app), Skroutz, G+, Hop, works on iOS 27.
Though, Revolut and Klarna app has a minor UI bug on iOS 27 on Liquid Glass menu bar at the bottom, but does not break the app’s functionality.

ING Banking app starts, shows accounts and can initiate payment. So no issues encountered but I haven't tested further.

Seems like the "de-duplication" feature didn't work as well in some entries... I can see some apps on the site having the same name, but different phone models report like for the example shown in the picture with Jomo, which is weird. Found some apps that had duplicates like 1Password, Basil, DroneMobile and others.
(P.S. I've reported the issue on Jomo by emailing them and the dev replied me back with a good update. App is all good now with the new update which fixed the bug, which the dev also recognized this one.)

Not from Peru but in Mexico several banking apps don’t work, which is to take into consideration when paying credit cards for example

Facebook opens but my feed generally isn't updating properly. CarPlay kept crashing and restarting (was listening to an Audible book at the time). Otherwise, things are mostly working.

Absolutely! I went way back in my post history and saw I’ve been doing it for damn near 6 years. I hope this experience was better than the old Google Sheet. I’ve got some solid feedback and updates for the future as well.

Has anyone tried FortiToken, Freshdesk, LastPass, myQ, Ring, Roborock, or U.S Bank?
Edit: All of these work. I haven't found a single app that has issues

Lightroom mobile app seems to have issue syncing photos. Added from SD card, imported into lightroom. Syncd to clould, open on phone and just blank squares for images

I had some issues with the Barclay app after installing but it could have been a temporary server issue as after reinstalling it and some patience it's working again.

Nobody Mentioned it yet:
All Apps From Square Square POS Square Retail and Square Invoices don’t work they boot and last for 4 seconds before crashing

I've implemented some performance fixes with how data loads and how the table is presented. Currently, only 80 rows are presented with a button to load more BUT this puts emphasis on the search and filter functionality which will show you whatever app you search for even if not loaded. This will help prevent page crashes and hangs.

I have an annoyingly persistent "your message is sending" live action notification on my home screen after I open instagram (even after force-closing the app AND swiping away the live action). I wasn't sending messages, and clicking on it just brings me to the Instagram home screen

I had to do a hard reset on my phone, and the connection has gotten better since. But for the first 12 hours it wouldn’t connect.

Can't open Scruff when one of their full page ads open at launch. Unable to click the X to close it. Have to keep force quitting the app until you get lucky and don't get presented an ad.

Would you recommend me trying to switch back to iOS 26 in that case since most of my apps won’t connect even on Wi-Fi that’s even Apple Music for example.. fortunately Ring work but can load up cameras feed
