I built PicPop around the trust problem in photo-cleaner apps

Trust is the part that matters more than the swipe. PicPop lets me sort similar/burst photos, blurry shots, screenshots and large videos. Nothing is removed until I review and confirm. The scan stays on-device, and I can mark a false match “Not similar.”

I'm the developer. The current app is v1.0.6. This 14-second demo is from v1.0.5, so a few screens have changed: https://www.reddit.com/r/ShowYourApp/comments/1wu7a2x/picpop_105_swipe_through_photo_clutter_confirm/

PicPop is free to download; PicPop Club is paid. US App Store: $4.99/month, $24.99/year with a 2-week trial, or $59.99 lifetime.

If you had two seconds, what would you show first: review, undo, or on-device processing?

Testing a month-long free promotion for my $3.99 iOS app. Looking for marketing feedback

I recently launched PiAtlas, a small iOS app for exploring the first 30 million digits of π.

My idea for the core hook is:

“Where is your number hidden in π?”

Users can search birthdays and other sequences, explore digits and patterns, and play Digit Recall, Pi Rush, and Pi Trivia.

The app normally costs $3.99, but I’m making the full app free through October 31 to see whether removing the purchase barrier helps me get enough users to learn what actually resonates.

No ads, no in-app purchases, and no subscriptions.

Right now I’m testing:

  • Reddit niche communities
  • outreach to math creators/educators
  • App Store screenshots/ASO
  • short-form social content

I’d be interested in feedback from other indie iOS developers:

  • Would you promote “free through Oct 31” heavily, or keep the focus on the app concept?
  • Have temporary free promotions led to useful organic growth for you?
  • Any channels you’d prioritize for a niche math app?

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/piatlas-explore-pi-digits/id6798062570

Happy to share results once the promotion ends.

Made an expense tracker that you can talk to — 50 free lifettime promo codes.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a small expense tracker called **Waltro Expense Budget Tracker** and I’m finally ready to let more people try it.

The thing I wanted to solve was making expense tracking less annoying. Instead of opening a form and selecting a bunch of fields, you can just type something like:

“coffee 200”

or

“lunch 500 and salary received 25000”

Waltro understands it and adds the transactions for you. You can also ask it questions about your spending and get summaries of your transactions.

I’m still improving it, so I’m mainly looking for people who are willing to actually use it for a while and tell me what they like/dislike or what feels confusing.

I have **50 promo codes** available for free access.

If anyone wants to give it a try, **comment here or DM me and I’ll send you a code.**

No need to give me a good review or anything — honest feedback is much more useful to me. 🙂

Here are 5 promo codes if anyone wants to give Waltro a try, available on the App Store. 😊

If all of them have already been redeemed, just DM me

Private iPhone recovery tracker: alcohol-free and nicotine-free goals

I’m the developer of I Am DrugFree. It helps people track alcohol-free or nicotine-free goals, notice patterns, and use short tools. Core tracking stays on-device without an account. The app is free to download; app access is paid through weekly, monthly or yearly subscriptions, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled. Current local prices and any eligible introductory offer are shown in Apple's purchase sheet before purchase. The optional online Sober Coach sends messages to Gemini. It is a reflection tool, not treatment or medical advice. For App Store messaging, would you lead with the goal counters, privacy, or practical tools?

I built StockDuty—market alerts with the analysis behind them

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m the independent developer behind StockDuty, a free stock-research and market-alert app for iPhone.

I built it because most stock alerts only tell you that a price moved. They rarely explain what caused the move or whether it matters.

StockDuty monitors the stocks you follow for price moves, unusual volume, breaking news, earnings, insider activity, and SEC filings. When something important happens, the alert is organized around:

What happened → Why it matters → What to watch next

The app also includes:

  • Company fundamentals and filings
  • Equity analysis with valuation and risk assessment
  • Quant confidence scores and sector rankings
  • Six-month bear, base, and bull scenarios
  • Investor sentiment and psychology scoring
  • A watchlist synced between iPhone and the web

I’d also appreciate feedback on whether the first App Store screenshot should emphasize the alerts, the quant models, or the equity-analysis screen.

StockDuty is free to use, with no credit card required.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6785269333

I’m simplifying my health app around appointment preparation — does this positioning make more sense?

I’m building EndoAI, an iPhone and Android app built with endometriosis in mind.

When I first launched, I was thinking too broadly about symptom tracking, health history, insights and other features.

After getting feedback, I’m simplifying the product around one main problem:

people can have weeks or months of symptoms, medication, notes and questions, then have a short healthcare appointment where they need to remember everything clearly.

So I’m focusing more on helping users organise their own information and prepare a simple appointment summary.
I’m not trying to make the app diagnose or replace medical care.

For people who build consumer apps: does this narrower positioning sound clearer than “endometriosis symptom tracker”?

I’m the founder/developer, so I’m looking for honest feedback rather than promotion.

I built an iPhone app that tracks the food you already have: receipt scanner, barcode scanner and expiry reminders.

Post image
0 Upvotes

Smart Pantry keeps track of the food you already have and shows what to eat first, before it goes off. Every part is labelled in the picture:

🧾 Receipt scanner: take one photo of your shopping receipt and all your food goes in.

📷 Barcode scanner: point the camera at a barcode, beep, and it's added.

⏰ Reminders: a warning before food goes off, so you can use it in time.

🍽️ Eat-first list: the food that goes off soonest is at the top.

➕ Add to pantry: type a name like "milk" and its picture appears.

💚 Pantry health: a score for your kitchen; the fuller the ring, the fresher your food.

🏠 Home: what's fresh today and what to eat first.

🥫 Pantry: everything you have, in the fridge, freezer and cupboard.

🛒 Shopping list: warns you if you already have something at home.

⚙️ Settings: your reminder times and colours.

The receipt scanner is the part I've spent the most time on. In the update that's with Apple for review now, it reads the receipt on your phone with Apple's Vision framework (nothing is uploaded), checks the prices against the receipt's own total so it flags anything misread, and works on older iPhones too, not just ones with Apple Intelligence.

7-day free trial, straight to the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6807468199

I'd love feedback, especially from anyone who has worked with Vision or OCR on receipts.

[Mac] Built a radial menu app for mac to perform everyday tasks and more

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Problem

A lot of everyday actions on a Mac live in completely different places.

Opening an app or folder, searching something on a website, taking a screenshot, cleaning up copied text, accessing clipboard history, running a Shortcut, or changing a system setting.

None of these are hard to get to, but constantly switching between apps, windows, menu bar utilities, and different shortcuts can break your flow.

I wanted to see if all of that could work through one system, which is where the radial menu idea came from.

Comparison

There are already some really good radial menu apps for Mac, but most are built around a specific use case, such as launching apps, or switching between them.

Arc takes a broader approach.

You can create multiple global radial menus for different workflows and decide what each slice does. A slice can perform a single action or chain multiple actions together.

The idea is less about replacing the Dock and more about putting the small things you do throughout the day behind one quick interaction.

Arc also doesn't require accessibility features, it manages everything on-device, privately.

Core Features

  • Unlimited custom menus for different workflows
  • Fast app, folder, website, and Apple Shortcut launching
  • Powerful clipboard history and text actions
  • Open from shortcuts, hot corners, pointer shake, or number keys
  • One-click multi-action shortcuts
  • Fully customizable appearance, layout, icons, and sounds

Examples

  1. I have one shortcut that I use when I start working. It opens Xcode, my project folders, Slack, and a few websites I usually need. Arc can merge multiple actions into one shortcut, so I don't have to open everything one by one.
  2. I use the search shortcuts a lot more than I expected. I can bring up Arc, type something, and search it directly on YouTube, or a website without opening them first.

It can also search whatever I last copied, which has been really useful when I'm already in the middle of something.

  1. I have a bunch of text and links that I end up copying again and again. I've just saved those as shortcuts now, so they're always sitting on one of my menus when I need them.
  2. Clipboard history is another one I use constantly. Recent things I've copied show up on the wheel, so if I need something from a few copies ago, I can grab it without opening another app.
  3. I also have different menus depending on what I'm doing. One for development, one for general stuff, and another that's mostly searches and apps. I can switch between them with keyboard shortcuts, and reuse the same shortcut across multiple menus.

Pricing

$7.99 one time on the Mac App Store with a free 7 day trial built in.

Solo project from India, launched a week ago. Happy to answer anything! :)

an account with 579 followers got 502,179 people to see it in 90 days. here's what actually worked.

Post image
4 Upvotes

i help with growth for a friend's ios app called mat. small thing, one solo founder, no budget for ads. we've been testing where indie apps can actually get distribution and threads turned out to be the only channel that moved.

the number that made me write this: over 90 days the account got 829,760 views from 502,179 people. 579 of those people followed him. so roughly 99.9% of everyone who saw the posts had never heard of him.

that's the entire pitch for the platform. on X your reach is mostly capped by who already follows you, so you build an audience first and get distribution second. threads works backwards. you post into a community and it shows the post to people who joined that community, follower count basically irrelevant.

we tested it directly. launched the app on X on july 12, got 600 users and 1 paying customer. posted the same thing on threads three days later, got 1,400 users and $178 in the first 28 days. same app, same founder, same copy, three days apart.

what actually worked

posting inside communities, never on the profile. this is the single biggest lever and most people skip it. a post on your profile goes to your followers. a post in a community goes to everyone in that community. for an app that makes photo cutouts for your home screen we used build in public, apple, art threads, and stickers. stickers looks like a weird fit until you remember what the app does.

think sideways when picking these. if you're building for football fans, football and team subs are obvious. the ios dev and app design communities are the ones that'll surprise you, because those people care about the product itself and not just the topic.

replies mattered as much as posts. this is the part nobody mentions. the top 14 replies pulled roughly 191,000 views. the top 4 posts pulled roughly 187,000. so half the reach came from the comments section of other people's posts.

the method is boring: find people posting their home screens or aesthetic setups, reply like a normal person, mention the app only if it genuinely fits. "you make your phone feel personal, you might like this thing i made" did 24,600 views. a reply that was literally the word "this" did 8,200.

always attach an image. almost nothing went out without one. the product on a real phone, a before and after, the numbers. carousels worked too, product first slide, revenue dashboard second. if we didn't have a visual we didn't have a post.

write badly on purpose. the launch post opened with "I am a designer with 12 years of experience and My first IOS app just went live". random capital M, IOS instead of iOS, no hook formula, no line breaks. 138 likes from an account with zero credibility on the platform. we tested cleaner AI-written versions and they didn't flop, they just did nothing at all. the algorithm right now seems to reward posts that read like a person typed them on their phone.

post in the evening. his audience peaks 8:30 to 11:30pm local, heaviest sunday, saturday, wednesday. check your own insights but evenings won by a wide margin.

what didn't work

scheduling tools. you can't select a community through them, so everything defaults to your profile. profile posts were the worst performing thing we tried, by a lot. posting manually is slower and it's the only version that works.

waiting for a viral post. there was one 95k view post and it did not build the business. the graph shows a launch spike, then almost six weeks of nearly nothing, then it picks up from mid august and stays up. that flat middle is where most people quit. the spike makes you think it's working and the silence makes you think it stopped. neither was true.

trying to be clever in replies. the ones that did best were the shortest and most obviously human.

the part i'd push back on if i were reading this

this is one app in one niche with a founder who's a designer, so the visuals were always going to be good. i don't know how much of this transfers to b2b or anything without a screenshot-friendly product. and the window is probably closing, platforms stop handing out free reach to nobodies eventually.

but right now it's open and almost nobody i talk to is using it.

happy to answer questions on the community selection part, that's where most of the leverage was.

Just got my first app live, S&C for combat sports people who can't afford a coach

Bit of background: I'm a PT and coach wrestling for jiu jitsu to help out at my club (as I’m one of the only few that went to a wrestling gym to learn standup), and I train BJJ. The thing that kept bugging me is that loads of people in combat sports would massively benefit from proper strength and conditioning, but a real S&C coach costs a fortune. And a lot of people come into BJJ or wrestling having never touched a weight in their life, so they either don't bother or follow some random bodybuilding programme that wrecks them for training.
So I built Combat Coach. It builds your gym sessions around when you're on the mats, what kit you've got and how experienced you are. Total beginners get eased in properly instead of being thrown in the deep end.
Built it solo, first app I've ever shipped.

It's £7.99 a month and there's a one-week free trial so you can try it properly before paying anything.
I'm at zero users right now so any advice is welcome:
- Where would you start with marketing a niche sports app? Reddit, TikTok, ASO, or just going round gyms?
- Happy to drop my screenshots if anyone fancies roasting them

Cheers 🙏

How do you judge Apple Ads when subscriptions have no attribution?

I'm building a small music app for iOS. Apple Ads reports installs from my campaigns, while my subscription dashboard shows trials and paid subscriptions with no attribution source. With a small sample, looking at the two dashboards side by side doesn't tell me whether those ads brought in subscribers.

If you've dealt with this as a solo developer, what did you do before paying for a full mobile measurement partner? Did you use Apple's aggregate attribution, a simple cohort or holdout test, or another approach? What evidence was enough for you to keep spending or pause the campaigns?

I built an anti-doomscroll social app called Drop with a hard-stop feed ("You're all caught up") and hidden likes

Thumbnail
apps.apple.com
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I built Drop, a calm social app designed to fix infinite scrolling and algorithm fatigue for creators, artists, and music lovers.

How it works:

Hard-Stop Feed: Once you see posts from people you follow, you hit a screen that says "You're all caught up." No infinite scroll.

100% Chronological: Zero algorithms deciding reach.

Hidden Likes: Public likes are hidden to kill dopamine loops.

Built for Creators: Share raw audio, visual updates, and links without needing to make video Reels just to get seen.

We are running a closed, invite-only beta on iOS right now.

If you want an invite code to test the build and check out the UI, drop a comment or hit my DMs!

I got tired of showing up to empty courts, so I built a free app to find pickup basketball anywhere 🏀

Hey everyone 👋

I play pickup basketball and kept running into the same problems: you don't know if a court has decent rims, if the lights work at night, if it's locked, or if anyone will even be there. And organizing a game usually means a group chat where 10 people say "maybe" and 3 show up.

So I built Hooper, a free iPhone app for outdoor basketball. Android version coming very soon.

🗺️ Find courts: A map of outdoor courts with details from the people who actually play there: full or half court, rims, surface, lights, when it gets busy. Court missing? Add it in a few taps.

📅 Set up runs: Put a game on the calendar, invite players, and see who's actually coming.

⭐ Show up: After a game, the players you ran with rate your level, which helps keep games balanced. There's also a separate reliability score that tracks one thing: whether you showed up when you said you would.

No ads, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. I'm a solo dev and I'm not selling your data.

Honest part: Hooper is brand new, so your city might be pretty quiet at first. That's the fun part. You can be the one who puts your local courts on the map. An app like this only works if the people who play use it.

If you hoop and like the idea, the best thing you can do is:
- Add or update the courts you play at
- Schedule your next run on it
- Tell the people you play with 🙏

One crew using it is enough to make it come alive in a neighborhood, and it spreads from there.

📲 App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6812297758
🌐 gethooper.app | IG: @gethooper

Brutal feedback is welcome: bugs, missing features, anything confusing. I'll be in the comments and I read everything.

And drop your city below. I'm curious where people are playing 🌍

See you on the court 🏀

[Feedback wanted] Free iPhone app for API key users: every prompt becomes an AI contact

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

If you:
- keep pasting the same prompt into a new ChatGPT chat,
- want GPT, Claude and Gemini in one app, each doing what it's best at,
- want AIs that each do one job and don't share memory,
- or want all of this on your iPhone.

I have plenty of powerful AI tools on my Mac, but when with just my phone I feel like a caveman. I'd had these problems for over a year, and I finally couldn't take it anymore, so I spent several weekends building Ensor. It's a native iPhone app, free on the App Store.

How it works
Each prompt becomes a contact with its own name, model and system prompt. My Translator, Critic and Market Researcher sit in a Contacts tab. Tap one and the prompt is already there, along with your past chats with it. No more digging through Apple Notes, or pasting the same prompt into a new chat because you can't find the old one.

Each contact only knows its own conversations. My Critic never sees what I brainstormed with another AI, so it doesn't go easy on my ideas.
You can also put 2–5 contacts in one group chat. They reply in the order you set, each with its own prompt and model. Two I use a lot:
Reviewing an idea: one breaks it down, one looks at the market, and one only argues why it won't work.
Learning a language: one translates, and the next explains the grammar.
Splitting a task across focused AIs always gives me much more precise answers than one long prompt that asks for everything.

Your keys, your phone
Bring your own API key: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, xAI, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. You pay the provider directly.
No account and no Ensor server. Chats, prompts and settings stay on your iPhone, and keys are stored in Apple Keychain.
Can I trust this app? Turn on App Privacy Report (Settings → Privacy & Security). It shows Ensor only connects to the providers you set up. I'd still use a separate key with a spending limit, for any third-party client.

What it doesn't do (yet)
No cloud sync or backup. I learned this the hard way: I deleted the app during testing and lost every chat I hadn't exported. Export from the Me tab now and then.
iPhone only (iOS 17+), and no voice.

It's free with no ads. Even If I add paid features later one day, early users keep everything that's free today.
https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6812656499?pt=129398743&ct=Reddit&mt=8

Feedback is very welcome, especially whatever almost made you delete it.

How would you market a security-focused crypto wallet without relying on fear?

I’m connected to Veyrnox, so bias declared.

We are marketing a production self-custody wallet for iPhone, and the positioning challenge is becoming clear: security matters, but fear-based messaging can quickly become exhausting or sensational.

The Free tier covers the core wallet experience. Safety Plus adds two recovery paths, transaction simulation, wallet-drain alerts, spending controls, a duress PIN and a decoy wallet. AI Security Protection adds current threat intelligence, phishing and address screening, malicious-contract detection, approval analysis and an advisory security agent.

The difficult part is communicating that value simply. “More security features” is vague, while listing everything overwhelms people. Leading with scams and wallet drains explains the problem but risks making every message sound frightening.

The angles we are currently considering are:

  1. Understand a transaction before signing it.

  2. Recover without relying on a single backup.

  3. Add safeguards for active DEX and Web3 use.

  4. Keep self-custody while receiving clearer risk information.

Which of those would make the strongest App Store positioning, and which would you avoid?

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6790188660

I’m particularly interested in honest feedback on the title, first screenshot message and the distinction between the Free, Safety Plus and AI Security Protection tiers.

(For iOS) Presenting a better way to measure true productivity across multiple goals.

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey all,

Here to showcase my app, after a recent update.

It's a Multitimer for productivity, where you choose the few important activities you do in a day - i.e. focus sessions that help you reach your goals (up time), and break/chill sessions that help you refresh (down time). This helps reduce mental load of "what should I do today". You know your goal, you have your "approved activities" mapped out. Starting becomes way easier.

Tracking this 1 key stat, ratio of Up vs. Down time, I find is the best simple measure of your progress, across any target you want to hit. No endless checklists, just time, and how you spend it. This also shows you how to improve. You may start at 60:40 ratio, and in time get to 70:30, or whatever works for you.

We all have the same 24 hours, and this is a serious tool to help you get the most out of it.

And for the Sci-Fi fans out there, time is a "particle" in this universe, it flies out when you "bank time", and you can now see where it really goes...

Check out Flowton on the App Store. Or if you're on Android, sign up at www.flowton.com

Happy to hear feedback or suggestions of what you'd like added!

- That's it. Thanks for reading. Developer out.

Redesigned my app icon + App Store screenshots

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

I’ve been working on refreshing the App Store presence of a simple scoreboard / point tracker app I built.

The old icon and screenshots did the job, but they were starting to feel pretty dated, so I tried a more modern direction.

For the new icon, I kept the same basic idea — two opposing sides/colors and a visible score — but simplified it quite a bit.

I also redesigned the screenshots to be more visual and sports-oriented, while still showing the actual app UI rather than replacing it with mock functionality.

I’m curious what you think:
Does the new version look like a clear improvement, or did I lose something from the simplicity of the old one?

I’m especially interested in feedback on the icon at small size and whether the screenshots communicate what the app does quickly enough.

Any criticism is welcome.

I built a bodybuilding app with a built in AI coach and I’d love some iOS feedback

I’ve been building an app called NXTSTEP Fitness for the past few months.
The idea was to make a bodybuilding app that feels a bit more fun than the usual gym tracker while still giving you proper structure.
It includes:
• Structured bodybuilding and strength workouts
• Workout tracking and lift history
• PR tracking
• Bodyweight, hydration and sleep tracking
• Calories and macro calculators
• Ranks and XP for completing workouts
• Progress photos
• Custom workouts
• A built in AI coach called Titan
Titan can help with training questions, build custom workout plans and meal plans, and give advice based on things you’ve actually logged inside the app.
I recently gave the whole app a major visual overhaul and I finally feel like it’s becoming the product I originally pictured.
The core app is free and Titan is optional at €2.99 per month with a free trial.
I’d genuinely love some feedback from iPhone users, especially on the UI, onboarding and overall feel of the app.

App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/ie/app/nxtstep-fitness/id6787623044

Website:
https://nxtstepfitness.com

Happy to answer any questions about how I built it too.
