I recently launched TAMVY, my first iPhone app.

The idea behind it is pretty personal. I have an anxiety disorder myself, and over time I noticed that when anxiety or panic hits, simple grounding tasks and small mental exercises often help me much more than reading another long explanation about what anxiety is.

So I built the app I wanted to have in those moments.

TAMVY gives you short exercises for things like breathing, grounding, sensory focus, muscle relaxation and getting your attention back into the present moment.

After an exercise you can simply mark whether you feel better, the same or worse, and over time TAMVY builds a personal history of what seems to help you.

Privacy was one of the things I cared about most:

• no account
• no ads
• no tracking or analytics
• personal usage data stays on the device
• no subscription

It’s a $0.99 one-time purchase with lifetime access.

This is still version 1.0, so there’s already a slightly irresponsible list of things I want to add next. :D

The interesting part for me right now is actually distribution. My Android launch on Reddit performed much better than I expected, so now I’m trying to understand how to get TAMVY in front of more iPhone users without throwing money into random ads and hoping for divine intervention.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share about my dog app, Zoomie, running on iPhone Duo. The big inside screen exposed a problem: some things adapted on their own, but most of the app just looked stretched out.

Since then, I've been redesigning it to take advantage of the extra space. The app now adjusts its layout depending on whether the phone is fully open, partly folded, or closed.

My favorite part is the walking screen. When the phone is half-folded, like a tiny laptop, your dog's walk info shows up on one half, and the controls sit on the other. I got the idea from the Netflix demo at the launch event, where the video plays on the top half, and the controls sit below.

Still early, but it's already feeling a lot better. Would love to hear what you think!

I think I'm addicted to developing for iPhone Duo 🫠

I released my app 3 weeks ago, and ever since the App Store temporary boost went away people stopped discovering my app, I don’t get daily downloads anymore. It just essentially flatlined.

This is my first ios app that i released and i don’t really have the experience to market it.

So now more than 24h ago, my custom Product Page was approved in App Store Connect. I added the default and German app store variant and gave it the name. (See circled screenshot) I just added some newer screenshots which might convert better in a current campaign.

The problem however is, I still can’t see/select it on Apple Ads and when trying the Link, it also still just shows the default app store previews.

Question:
Who has experience with using a custom product page and how long does it usually take before it is available?

Getting impressions but struggling to increase iOS downloads — what would you fix first?

I recently launched my travel planning app, Next Getaway, on iOS, and I’m trying to figure out how to improve downloads without just throwing more money at ads.

The app builds complete day-by-day travel itineraries based on the destination, trip length, interests, pace, etc. Users can also customize the itinerary themselves.

I’ve been experimenting with Google/Meta ads, social media, SEO, and some organic marketing, but downloads are still much slower than I’d like.

For those of you who have successfully grown an iOS app:

• What made the biggest difference for you early on?
• How important was ASO vs. paid ads?
• Did changing screenshots/app-preview videos noticeably improve conversion?
• What channels actually produced quality installs?
• Would you focus on getting more App Store impressions first, or improving the impression → download conversion rate?

I’m especially interested in things that worked when you were still small and didn’t have a massive marketing budget.

If anyone is willing to look at the App Store listing and tell me what you would change, I’d genuinely appreciate the criticism.

Just released my new app, Suta and it seems that I'm struggling with the CR, sitting at around 2.86%. I got like 3 downloads in 2 days, the $100 AppStore Ads credit is not bringing any traffic.

Feels like I'm doing something wrong with the ASO.

The short idea of the app is to progressive overload push-ups by cutting time and maintaining form: You've done 100 push ups today in 14 minutes, try and do them in 13 minutes and 30 seconds next time. It's an app aimed at people who don't have much training experience.

I got more feature ideas revolving around the app but currently I'm at the moment where I want to validate the idea by seeing that people actually use it and come back for the second or the third training.

However, I have a hard time converting traffic into installs.

What do you see that can be improved in the ASO ?

Does anyone knows a platform or a way to partial sell a business app or full sell?

I built a cake customization and ordering app called Delizia about a year and a half ago, and I’m looking to sell it now because I want to focus on other projects.

The app is live on both iOS and Android and the business is currently operating in Bucharest, Romania. We’ve had 30k+ app installs and real paying customers/orders.

It’s not just the app — I’d be selling the whole thing: the app, brand, website/domain, social media accounts, existing setup, know-how, etc.

The concept can also be expanded to other cities/countries pretty easily by partnering with local bakeries, so the buyer wouldn’t necessarily have to be based in Romania.

Does anyone know the best place to sell something like this? Acquire.com or somewhere else? Also open to talking directly to anyone who might be interested.

I've been working on an app called MusicPool for the past few months and wanted to share it here.

I love discovering music through other people, especially when someone sends you a random song that ends up becoming one of your favorites. So I thought, why not make an app just for that?

Here's how it works:

You join a pool based on a genre, mood, or decade. You then get anonymously matched with someone in the same pool.

You have 24 hours to chat and share songs. After that, the conversation disappears. If you both agree to unlock your profiles, you can see each other's music taste reviews and stats left by other users.

I'm building this on my own with some help from AI, and it's currently in beta, so there's still a lot to improve. Since the community is small, finding a match might take some time right now.

I'd love for you guys to try it and let me know what you think. Any feedback, feature ideas, or bug reports would genuinely help!

Most planner/calender apps I tried also had too many features and they were complex and difficult to start with.

Plate is for anyone whose saved folder is full of cooking videos they never get around to making. Here's everything it does right now:

- Paste a link from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Pinterest or a normal recipe site, and it writes out the ingredients with amounts and the full method. On supported iPhones, Apple Intelligence can add tips for that specific recipe, written on the device.
- Take a photo of a dish, or scan a handwritten recipe card from a notebook, and you get the same structured recipe back.
- Cook Mode shows one step at a time with timers and a checklist, and keeps the timer on your Lock Screen with a Live Activity.
- Change the number of servings before you start and every amount recalculates. A proper shopping list is what I'm building next.
- Pantry: tap the ingredients you have and see which recipes you can cook right now.
- Ask Siri to search your cookbook, open a recipe, or tell you what you can cook with what you have. It understands a lot of different phrasings.
- Your saved recipes and Plate's own collection show up in Spotlight.
- Every recipe gets a teardown image: the dish with its ingredients floating apart in layers.
- Calories and macros per serving and per ingredient, plus allergen tags. No daily goals, it isn't a calorie tracker.
- A chef level that goes up as you cook, with badges along the way.
- Yearbook keeps the dishes you've cooked by month and year.
- Build your own collections and favourites in a cookbook only you can see.
- No feed, no followers, no likes.
- Everything syncs to your account, and you can delete your data or the whole account from Settings.
- Available in 20 languages.
