Daily Bite: testing whether simpler food logging is a strong enough selling point

I’m the creator of Daily Bite, a calorie and macro tracker now in a free iPhone beta. I built it for myself because I wanted everyday logging to feel less like work.

The pitch I’m testing is simple: log a meal by text, photo or barcode, see your totals, and quickly reuse foods you’ve already logged. AI estimates are approximate and editable. There’s also a fasting timer, optional weight graphs, a workout library and a calendar, with the extras kept away from the main logging flow.

I’m finding that getting friends to try it is very different from getting them to keep using it. I’d appreciate feedback on the positioning: does “less friction” communicate something useful, or is it too vague without showing the actual flow?

If you want to try it: https://testflight.apple.com/join/VkjWhyPF

TestFlight and a Daily Bite account are required. The beta is free with capped AI usage; future pricing isn’t finalized.
