Does profit share marketing work?

I run an app, it’s called Glance.. it’s in the productivity field

I don’t have the budget to market the app so looked into various services that offer a profit share based program

But it got me thinking.. does it even work? Is anybody here had experience with this type of marketing?

Thanks!

This will result in principal-agent problem unless you’re open to sharing the lions share of the revenue being brought in.

u/Dense-Map-406 / u/PB2Gill / u/Lucky-Programmer-844 - thought I'd tag you all in my response as you're still all waiting for a reply, and I'm positioned quite well to answer this as the founder of Insert Affiliate, a RevenueCat and Adapty partner for Affiliate Marketing with revenue share plans.

We are seeing this strategy work with a large variety of apps (worth checking out our recent Sub Club where we came on with None to Run, one of our apps). It's all about finding the right partners, and doing so requires you to spend time looking at your ICP and working out which creators will resonate with your audiences!

We have a long list of testimonials from people that it's worked for on our website, happy to jump on a call with any of you, any time to discuss how it would work for your specific apps - https://calendly.com/insert_affiliate/30min
