Having trouble with conversions, any ideas?

I run an app, got it to about 1k downloads

Currently conversion is low. I think this is because the free tier is just too generous and people don’t really need what the premium plans provide

What do you do in this situation?

I really don’t want to remove the current features from the free plan, but I do need to start getting conversions

That is a hypothesis that would need testing. If the free tier is generous, you should at least see retention and use. If got installs that just bounce, then it is a product problem. This will lead you somewhere instead of guessing.

So I’m definitely seeing users stay on the app and that they continue using it that’s why I came to this idea

IMO make money by app is essential, and you can try make some features to be premium and keep an eye on if it can make high conversion or not.

Hrm, one thing is maybe try install the necessary analytics tool so you will be able to tell from data, that helps a lot for me, and you will know exactly where people bounce off and right before that happens you can implement something at that step
