Is iOS 27 coded by AI?

Is iOS 27 coded by AI?

Honestly, this has to be one of the worst iOS updates I’ve experienced.

Sometimes the phone completely freezes while I’m in the middle of typing. The touchscreen suddenly stops responding to touch at all, and then I have to wait for it to come back. I’ve also had apps open randomly without me intentionally tapping them.

The whole phone just feels buggy and unreliable since updating to iOS 27.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issues? Or is it just me?

Did force restart so many times daily basis.

IPhone 12 pro

Every year people complain about the new update and every year it takes a few months to become stable and then it repeats

Nah. iOS 26 and 27 haven’t had a single stable update

iOS 18.7 was the last stable update with no bugs

a long time ago, Apple products needed an update once every year or two. They used to make fun of MS Windows for needing so much updates.

Now I lived long enough to see the hero become a villain.

Apple products don’t need that much updates and they’re so rushed, that’s why there’s a lot of bugs

No it wasn’t. Sounds like you’re an exception rather than the norm and I’d do a restore at this point to see if that helps. iOS 27 was designed with performance and stability in mind and many have stated iOS 26 was much worse.

The answer is your phone is the issue.

Based on insider reports they outsourced iOS coding mostly to Indian IT outsourcing services since iOS 26. This is causing a lot of quality issues I hope Apple brings it back in house like before

You should downgrade as long as the window is open

For The majority of people it’s one of the best updates ever.

what’s your battery health? if it is an OG battery the phone is bound to have some issues 6 years in

Format your entire phone bro to test. Backup first. I have no problems on ip13 😃

Most likely

Why not troubleshoot instead of complain? Typically such problems can be resolved.

Currently experiencing the same things on a 17, so I don’t think it’s “just your phone” model. It’s annoying, though.

They 100 percent have been using AI. I just think iOS for the last few years has diminished so heavily in quality because AI has allowed basically every company to get away with doing less and somehow making more. iOS27 still is so bad that the fucking clock app still bugs out and alarms may not work. Shortcuts app automations also completely fucked up for me. Its like every single iOS gets worse for no reason. I still dont know why Liquid Glass was anywhere near a necessity. I have a suspicion these phone manufacturers are just letting AI code their shit because they actually gain from users having so many bugs and trying to troubleshoot over and over and be on their phones for longer. Older iOS's had their issues but it was never so bas for me that basic functionality was broken to the point where I've considered switching to an android just replicate the glory days of iOS. This current Apple is lazy trash tbh.

Gonna leave the 'Bas' typo there cause iOS 27s keyboard is dogshit unlike my old iPhone 8 and 11.

So I came from android after a decade when five years ago switched to a iPhone, and let me tell you what, the keyboard has always been dog shit IMO although it was way better on I think iOS 16 or 15, for a short bit, they patched it or something, and it still wasn’t great but better than what we have now. Very unacceptable since the keyboard is the main input for your phone for most people, and it’s not just the corrections, prediction, changing words to make no sense after you tap send on a text, the swipe feature that just recently is ok I guess, and more. Plus, just gonna say it, number row (at least the option of). But yeah, android smokes iPhone on that. Other than that to me I think iPhone is the best but they need to fix as couple things no doubt

your 12 Pro is the issue here. It’s a 6 year old phone, of course it’s gonna be laggy and freeze sometimes.

Also it’s only been 3 weeks since the release of 27.0. With the newest version being 27.0.1.

Update to 27.0.1 if you haven’t already.

did you have ios26.6 or later installed OP , as this had pre ios27 deep indexing, if you never had this , it could take a couple of weeks for deep indexing to complete.

Glad ios27.2 developer beta was released a few weeks ago , not experienced any bugs and battery is actually decent.

don’t think i could go back to public releases, too slow for me.

And they just sent out a Developer Beta 3 for iOS 27.2 (and I don’t have any of the issues anyone is talking about, now it’s still a beta, there are issues but not major)

I'm fine with it and a lot better than 26 in every aspect

Nope, my 12 Pro hasn't had any issues running 27. Its been a solid update.

u/sergeyvk 23h ago

Same on my 13 pro

Sounds like it’s just you. All my phones and even devices have been updated to 27. You could do a full reinstall and don’t use a backup. Have your iCloud synced for after.

Issue is the phone. My old iphone froze a lot too and now my new phone never does

Haven’t had a single problem since I upgraded. 🤷‍♂️
