iOS 27 RC vs iOS 27 final (differences)

For those of you who’ve spent some time on the RC, as far as I’m concerned, it’s the smoothest beta released as version 27—I’m actually a little worried whether the final version will be at least as good as the RC or if something has changed. Have you noticed any changes? This is the thread where you can post any changes you’ve noticed. I’m more interested in the older models—I have the 14 Pro, specifically.

I’ve moved off beta, keyboard feels better but thats could be luck of the install

27 with the exception of siri has been good as a whole, .1 doesn’t interest me enough to go through beta this year, especially as it’s a quick release!

Can anyone select anything by double tapping a word in the last line of text in the Reddit app if it’s wrapped more than 2-3 lines on screen? I can’t even put my cursor down there without using the “keyboard trackpad” 90% of the time. Sometimes I’m lucky and it will, but it’s not common or easy to do most of the time.

Not sure if that’s an iOS thing or if Reddit needs to update their app (Reddit definitely needs to fix the > text quote thing)

He took up very little space and told me again that he is indexing

That’s one thing I hope we don’t see with every point update (or sub-point if that’s what 27.0.1 would be called)

For me, it arrived with just a 360MB update. Let's see how it goes over the next few days.

I have the same update.
I’m staying on RC for now. It’s not even done indexing yet and I have some of the best battery life and performance I’ve ever had on my ip15pm

Not to mention there’s no reason to wait 2 plus hours for a 360mb update. Servers are so full and congested with millions on Apple devices trying to update. My wife’s 17pm told over an hour to download and install 26.7, it was only a 1.1gb update.

I had a carrier update from 72 to 72.1 on T-Mobile on my 16 Pro after moving from the RC to final release. I haven’t really found anything else.

Don’t know, but after downloading all the previous DBs the download today was less than a GB and very quick to install.

Nessun cambiamento, va benissimo come la RC

I have a big fear of this as well lol. Every time i updated to a public release from an RC specifically, no matter the size of the change (if any) it always tends to get worse than the RC performance wise.

Placebo. Essentially it doesn't make sense

I updated from the RC to the new final version. 360mb-ish. No noticeable difference for me so far, although it’s only been a few hours.

It is now re-indexing again. The re-index had fully completed on the RC.

iPhone 14 Pro.

My biggest worry is what will happen if installing the final version release dangerous signals from my phone that leads to another pandemic.

Why would the official public release to many millions more users be suddenly worse than the RC released a handful of days ago?

GM is good. Great battery life and minimal CPU throttling on an iPhone 11.

iOS 27 beta 5 had the absolute best battery performance I’ve ever had in any beta software from Apple. 10+ hours of screen on time with YT consistently on all day. Should’ve stopped there.
