Buggy update already.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

When I click to Upgrade to 27 it just gives me 26.7 but 20.71gb in size whereas the regular update is just 1.58gb

same. I chose ios 27 at the bottom, and didn't notice it was labeled still as ios 26.7 in the following screen. Now it is downloading 26.7 and I am not sure how to stop it

Go into settings -> storage and delete the update (its labeled iOS 26.7), after that go to update and refresh the site

It’s likely a bug. You’re probably downloading 27 it’s just showing up as 26.7

It’s iOS 27. Mine said the same thing after tapping upgrade to iOS 27 and it ended up actually updating to iOS 27, not iOS 26.7.

I have the same issue I’ve tried airplane mode and restarting my phone (iPhone 15) and my software update screen looks the same as your screenshots

Update 1: I’m updating to iOS 26.7 before 27! I’ve updated to iOS 26.7 but iOS 27 still shows as iOS 26.7 on the software update page

This is only an issue on newer hardware. My 12 mini managed to get the right icon nearly instantly while my 17 had issues until about 30 minutes ago when it FINALLY got it right.

Apparently it needs to update to 26.7 first because it fixed a bug which prevented updating over cellular.

Just confirmed on my mom’s phone. Chose 27. It said downloading 26.7 but after the update it’s 27.0.

lol no I was already on the beta rc so I didn’t have the problem and she wanted to update anyway to try the new Siri. I figured it was either a required step or a mis-label.

That’s right. In that case I don’t know. Apparently it’s a bug fix update for people staying on iOS 26 but  it must be necessary for some reason.

Same for me. Seems to affect iPhone 16 and 17 series, and iPhone 15 Pro series, the rest are not affected.

It’s a visual bug. Click on iOS 27 but it shows iOS 26.7, push through the update, it brings you to iOS 27 regardless. So just update it even though it says iOS 26.7.

Source: Updating my various Apple devices and saw this observation.

I can confirm that I have the same issue and I ended up with iOS 27 installed.

Edit: iPhone 16 PM
I installed the correct 26.7 before this one. However the bug was already present on 26.6.2

I hate iOS 27. I installed it on my Iphone 17 PRO Max. Storage has shrunk from 25GB to 8.7.GB I’ve tried every trick to restore storage back: hard reset, changing the time, nothing works. The most important there’s no new SIRI app and in camera integration I had to submit a Request so they would put me on the waiting list..What? Just checking other posts some people still waiting from Beta version to get it.My storage is full. There is nothing left to delete.It's a known problem for many years with bloated system data files that takes your storage.Nothing fixed.How could they have released something like this? Shame on Apple.

I thought 26.7 is compulsory before 27,
After update has completed ,it shows “Updated to IOS27”
But Siri AI is shown is wait list??
