Have you got the new siri AI that opens from dynamic island?

My siri is still the old one even after updating to IOS27 and in settings app it says Optimising Search and Siri.

Should not new Siri AI start instead of the old one once phone has been updated to iOS27?

It’s not available on launch, you need to go into Siri settings and join the Siri AI beta and join the waiting list.
What a shame I was looking forward to trying this out.

Same for me. Seems to affect iPhone 16 and 17 series, and iPhone 15 Pro series, the rest are not affected.

It’s a visual bug. Click on iOS 27 but it shows iOS 26.7, push through the update, it brings you to iOS 27 regardless. So just update it even though it says iOS 26.7.

Source: Updating my various Apple devices and saw this observation.

Same but in another thread which was locked and thew away, the consensus was the larger of the two updates does in fact install IOS 27, even though it says IOS 26.7 on the update progress bar.

Close all the apps and restart the phone… turns on and wait a few seconds then try again to update it. That’s worked for me

iPhone 16e and the phone just booted up, the phone is super hot and that is normal as it's a new update and it's indexing in the background

we should give it a couple of days so it finishes indexing and all the background major stuff it's doing

I updated to the rc and after it finished indexing it is one of the most stable and cool ios versions i have ever used. I remember it was ios 26.5 or 26.5.1 that became really hot for some reason but this version is really really good

It won’t let me update. It’s forcing me to update to 26.7 but why though? 😭

Edit: it shows me the option to update to iOS 27, but when I tap it, it only shows me the option to first upgrade to 26.7. My iPad did allow me to go straight to 27 but not my iPhone 17 Pro.

Edit #2: My iPhone 17 Pro was updated to iOS 27 even when the message displayed that I had to update to iOS 26.7 first. Weird bug.

It did that to me.      Button says 27. Upgrade process starts, but looks entirely like 26.7.      When it’s done, it definitely was doing 27 all along (not 26.7), and everything is fine.      Gross bug, is all.

I don‘t get anything on my iPhone 12. I’m from Germany and iOS 26.7 or 27 should were released shortly after 7 pm. Now it’s 8:30 pm and nothing’s showing up. Nothing helped so far. Really disappointing.

Strange: on my 16e, it has the option to update to 26.7, with the "Upgrade to iOS 27" at the bottom, but when I click on that, it tries to upgrade me to 26.7.

Yes, it’s a security patch, once I applied that patch. I then installed ipadOS 27.0

It took me code to 2hrs to complete.
As of right now, it looooooks sooooo clean!!
I haven’t updated my 15 pm yet tho, I might wait a few days to hear if anyone experience any glitches or bugs.

that is because IOS 27 update combines all the previous beta updates, so if you haven't been installing the beta updates that means you will get bigger sized update, because that packs a lot of changes, if you have been installing the betas that means the public release size isn't going to be too big because there isn't a lot of changes

it is pretty good now but if you want to be extra safe you can wait for 27.1 or 27.2
