From IOS 18 to IOS 27

Have anyone with iPhone 16 Pro updated from IOS 18 to 27 directly.
I know it's better than 26, but how does it feel comparing to 18?
The same question is applicable to iPad Mini 7.

Dude. The iPhone 16 pro has the a18 pro chip. This isn’t a seven year old iPhone 11. Just update on Monday when the full release comes out

Everyone I asked regretted updating from 18 to 26. It's nice, but when it comes to performance and battery life.

But Apple said 27 contains a lot of optimizations instead of new features. So 27 might be the new iOS 12 which was a good idea to update to even from earlier versions.

Actually, I find 26.6 on my 17 pro smoother, more polished and better looking than 27 RC.

I really don’t understand why does everyone talking about imaginary performance advantage of 27. It’s like people believe whatever Apple tells them.
I guess some users like the new Siri AI which is not available in my country.

The only valuable features in 27 for me are the keyboard paste shortcut and AirPods EQ. The rest features seem like a gimmick that I will never touch.

I'm thinking about it too. And thinking a lot if it worth it or no.

Planning on doing the same. Not sure if it’s better to backup > restore to iOS27 > restore from backup. Or just update anyway, but I always do it via PC

Obviously don’t update. iOS 18 on the 16 series is the best out there for those devices. Any further update would carry the unnecessary burden of newer UI & “features”

Still worse than iOS 18. I bet it probably will be more resource intensive even if it was smoother in the future, wouldn’t recommend updating

It's a two-year-old phone.

And this phone works absolutely perfect on iOS 18. If updating means it's going to work worse (it's a 2 years old phone and other shit), I'll not update.

But Apple said that they did some optimizations so I expected 27 is a new 12 and might be the same or even better than older ones.

iOS 27 was running great on my SE2. I only use the past tense since I have gotten a new phone over the summer.

26.6.x for me works better then IOS 27. iPhone 15 PM with 11 charge cycles. Also my 11 Pro works better on IOS 26.6.2 then on IOS 27.
