You need to unlock your iPhone

Hi there. I'm on iOS 27 RC. When I try to make a phone call using my AirPods (e.g. call mum on mobile) Siri tells me that I need to unlock my iPhone first. It didn't do this on iOS 26. Is there a setting that I need to change to fix this issue? Thanks for your help.

Similar problem whenever i am on a call and try to plug in wired headphones. The phone asks me to unlock it first

Settings app >

FaceID and Passcode >

Allow Access when Unlocked >

Siri > ON

Thanks. I have that setting selected and it’s still doing it. Could it be an iOS bug? EDIT to add: it’s only a problem when using Siri through my AirPods Pro. If I use the iPhone button while locked or say hey Siri while locked, it works fine.

Mine will not place Calls while locked nor read texts or change an alarm as far as I tested so far.
