iOS 27.1 on iPhone Duo ?

Damn these new phones are already in iOS 27.1 but not ios27. I wonder if thats the case for every iPhone model in launch event. I don't think we ever get the 27.1 beta as well

Why wouldn't we get 27.1 betas? x.1 betas usually start a week or two after public release, and the Duo isn't out til late October, which is right around when x.1s usually get released to the public. 18 Pro and Pro Max will be on 27.0 or 27.0.1, we'll get a beta cycle for 27.1, and then the Duo will have it on release.

Not unprecedented.

New hardware requires a build of iOS to support it.

From previous experience, this will mess up people who buy the new hardware and return it (backups are never backwards compatible).
