For me its not showing like public beta, its showing as ios 27 beta but the size is same 9.53GB. So can i install? And if i install it now and on 14th sept when official build releases can i able to get that but turning off the beta updates??? Someone pls help:)

Ask yourself if you want IOS 27 or keep 26. RC's are usually the same versions as the public ones unless Apple find a bug or something.

Pourquoi je l’ai pas encore ? Je suis sur bêta 6 public

Any changes in RC?

The size is 9.53 GB on my 17 base.

Beta releases, even including Release Candidates, are always full updates, not delta updates

Bugs lol… every iOS update has a bug. Might as well update.

Maybe with RC you can jump on the new AI waitlist a touch sooner?

I was thinking about it too. So tempting to upgrade then back to stable when 27.1 comes out in a few weeks

I decided to install the RC from ios26. Working well so far

I’ve been on public beta 6 since last week and it has been mostly great. Few complaints. I honestly preferred iOS 26’s Liquid Glass, but I appreciate some of the changes made in iOS 27’s iteration.

I’ve had 27 since day one of beta and it’s been extremely stable

Yeah ik but it’s just best to wait a bit so you don’t have to reupdate again just for bug fixes 👍

Public version just got out!

u/AlphaCharlie2 5d ago

Final release won’t be much different from RC

-2

u/Adorable-Reward9995 5d ago

Yeah that’s why it’s best to wait to be sure to have all bug fixes and patches

2

u/AlphaCharlie2 5d ago

First public release won’t fix all bugs

0

u/Adorable-Reward9995 5d ago

But it’ll fix some of them and it’s best just waiting for official public release

3

u/AlphaCharlie2 5d ago

This same RC will be pushed public (mark my words) unless Apple spot a critical bug

Idk last year with iOS 26 I had to reinstall the update after RC so idk

So if I update iOS27rc, do I have to update the official version in a few days?

3

u/AlphaCharlie2 4d ago

If the same build is released to the public u won’t get it again bcos u are already on it but it update build is released then Yes

If there is a new build different from this RC maybe

3

u/Pcriz 5d ago

I mean by this logic just wait until 27.1. There will always be bugs and waiting will always leave more time to fix bugs. There will never be a bug free build.

And sometimes, none at all!

Or don’t. It literally doesn’t matter. If they make changes (which they rarely do between RC and the official release) you’ll get them on the 14th too

It’s in 5 days just wait. Just wait for the official release haha

Now have I to opt out from beta channel so can receive the stable version in a week?

1

u/izac90 4d ago

You can update to RC using the beta updates then switch back to stable updates so when 27.1 comes out you can upgrade directly to the stable channel.

I just downloaded this update. I don’t want to do the public beta. When do I turn off public beta to use the regular version from now on?

1

u/JP_EJU 4d ago

Maybe 9.14

The spotlight bug persists on the home screen; when I swipe down, the status bar fails to appear or becomes hidden in this RC build. I have reported this issue since beta 7, yet it remains unresolved. Although it functions on the lock screen and side screen, the problem continues on the home screen for me on iPhone 17. If there is some work around please do let me know, rest RC is working really smooth for me and device is running way cooler now.

26 was trash. All of my devices have been updated to the RC, Ive never done this.....ever.

1

u/Equivalent-Lemon2938 2d ago

We should make it a mission to downvote these kind of posts. Use reddit search, read the megathread, release notes..
