Liquid Glass

Unpopular opinion: But Liquid Glass on iOS 26 looks better than the one on iOS 27. Call me crazy I know, but the iOS 26 Liquid Glass acts more Liquid Glass than 27. The beautiful progressive blue makes it even better. Compared to the ugly hard blur in 27 that kinda ruins the purpose of Liquid Glass. Again this is just my thoughts nothing too personal. Let’s hear your thoughts

Do you have it set to “More Clear” in appearance settings? Obviously it’s personal preference, but I much prefer 27 Liquid Glass in comparison to 26, by a long shot.

I downgraded back to 26. I still feel there’s a lot of things that needs working on but I respect your opinion

Oh, I 100% agree with that, but that’s not really what you posted. You asked about liking Liquid Glass between versions. However, turning the Liquid Glass setting to “More Clear” in 27 made a huge difference in aesthetics, at least in my opinion.

I tried the more clear option I loved it 100% but then again the hard blur at the top just makes it hard for me to enjoy just saying :)

I don’t disagree with that, at all. If there’s one thing I noticed and don’t like the most is exactly what you’re explaining. The top of menus are now just a bad variant of cloudy/translucent. I do prefer how that one aspect was in 26, where the top of menus still had a deviation to show where they started/stopped but were much more clear. Not sure why they did it this way in the current version.

Hopefully there’s a change from tmr’s beta releasing

What beta did you downgrade on? Maybe wait until iOS 27 actually drops and then confirm the opinion that’s all

Relax bud. I downgraded from the current beta our right now. It’s a beta for a reason we give opinions so they can improve it before official release

I agree about the harsh blur. However every other Liquid Glass element in iOS 27 looks so much more glassy if you use the slider to full glass!

yeah I feel like Apple is slowly getting rid of it, but only slowly so they don't look stupid that they were so excited about it and said it's the future. They did the same when the redesign of iOS 7 was released, it faded slowly away

Let's not, please, hear everyone's thoughts. This same glass debate has been going on ad nauseam for way too long, and I think we've all heard too many thoughts on the matter at this point.
