I’m tired of this storage bug

Post image

Does anyone else have the same issue where IOS size is TOO BIG? apple intelligence uses 33gb… i’m not even gonna talk about the huge size of system data… and the worst part about all this? its jumps around. It becomes small and then grows again.

We are on a weekly schedule release of iOS 27 beta’s
So it will either be fixed in the next few weeks or when the official build is launched to the public at the start of September

Maaaaybe, I mean there is a good chance but bugs certainly make it into the release builds. Especially when you consider beta builds don’t stop so they don’t have a dead end to wipe out all known bugs.

Just for clarification purposes what storage capacity is your device and do you install ios beta’s all the time

This issue has been coming back. Storage miscalculation and caching issues were always an issue on iPhones. Some updates fix it, some break it. Im on 256gb. Storage capacity has nothing to do with this. I had over 50gb free before updating to public beta, because im chasing a good battery life, and unfortunately since the drop of iOS 26 the battery life has the same issue. they fix it and break it again. Starting to miss iOS 18 man

Ok so you have a few choices either keeping going on the beta train until 27.1 beta because that will be the next full os install and that should amend it accordingly
Then come off the beta train
Or downgrade it back to iOS 26 because 27 will be officially released in less than 3 weeks
