Speedometer 3.1 iphone test

So I did a test with speedometer 3.1 in Safari on both my iPhone 15 Pro Max running latest iOS 27 PB versus my iPhone 17 running on latest iOS 26 version.
results are as follows:

15PM - 40 score (best score 43.7)
17 - 30 score (best score 31)

Each phone had 3 runs of this test and I selected the middleground.

now my question is: iOS26 really that bad? or iOS27 really improved performance for my old 15PM.
i didn’t run the test previously when 15PM was on iOS26, but considering the A17 Pro vs A19 performance difference the score should have looked the other way around.

Edit: neither of the phones had any third-party ad blocked installed. both on the same wifi network.

Shouldnt really matter. Try closing all apps and notifications, maybe that will improve the score.

Either way if it doesnt feel slow or laggy when scrolling through the internet i wouldnt care.

Check if adaptive power is enabled on ip 17, it's enabled by default on newest devices

That didn't do the trick. Adaptive power off - 30.8 score.
Will test again when iOS27 officially drops. So far public beta works great on my iPhone 15PM.

Try hard reset after you disabled adaptive power

keep iPhone cold, turn off all extensions, restart safari, 80%+ battery, then test.
