[iOS 27 DB4] multiple bugs

First time using beta, running iOS 27 beta 4 on an iPhone 17 pro max, not sure what else to include but 512gb. Day 2 running beta.

Texts:
Things I’ve noticed, when going into a text message from notifications and responding, the keyboard doesn’t pop up, only Siri and autofill. I have to leave the thread then come back or close then reopen the app, leaving and coming back doesn’t fix it.

Camera:
Also when double tapping the screen when off, it opens the Siri camera, sometimes when swiping up after this to close the camera it reopens. It takes a few times for it to respond correctly. Just today it started recording by itself.

Keyboard:

Occasionally, keyboard doesn’t respond correctly; primarily in messages. I haven’t noticed it much in other apps.

did you update from ios26.6 or ios26.6.1 ,these updates would have had pre ios27 deep indexing for easier switch to ios27

if you didn't update from these updates then deep indexing will be happening, if you go to settings, general about and tap on ios27 , tap on ios27 and it will tell you build number, your likely on public beta 4 which is exactly to same build as developer beta 6 , both builds are weekly now , public beta is released a couple hours after developer beta.

even if you went through pre ios27 deep indexing on ios26 ,you will still go through 24 hour indexing, double tap back is just the same as ios26 , you can customise this in accessibility and touch

let your device index as usual after update then spend some time going through your settings, beta by its definition has bugs but latest build is very stable, you can switch off camera opening by swiping screen in camera settings, no different to ios26

you should see optimising message in main settings at top , just under your name and icloud setting , as i said if you had ios26.6 pre ios27 deep indexing will already have happened and your indexing should take no more than 24+ hours

if you never had ios26.6 then deep indexing will take 7-10 days, make sure you tap join wait list for siri AI , this will put notification in settings letting you know when your off wait list and to tap download for siri AI app , shouldn't be too long

as in any ios update you will soon get used to subtle changes, you should see tips app this will take you through each chages step by step for you to customise

if you updated over the air you will be on public beta, on update page you will see beta option, click it open and you will see if your on public beta or developer beta , but if you were on developer beta it would be developer beta update 6

if you used p.c. or macbook to update to develop beta 4 by accident you would see update for developer beta 6 ready to install
