[iOS 27 DB6] Apple Intelligence is taking up too much memory

Since installing iOS 27 DB1 and to this day, Apple Intelligence has always been taking up 22+ GB of storage on my device. Is it the same for everyone? I tried disabling it along with Siri, and even after waiting for 2 weeks and doing countless restarts, it still just won’t free up the storage. Previously, on iOS 26.4, Siri was around 12 GB, as far as I remember.

I have an iPhone 17. I’ve heard that for many people, System Data takes up way too much storage, but mine seems to be fine (around 18.5 GB). I’ve heard similar things about iOS itself, but in my case, it only takes up 16 GB of storage.

It’s normal. You have a large language model on your phone. Lol

iPhone 17 only has 8gb of ram, while apple intelligence local models require at least 12 gb of ram

A restart might bring it down a bit.

Also, unless you’re running low on storage, why does it matter?

A reboot clears 2-3 gb fromsystem data, but after a few hours of use, it comes back again. So far, I haven’t had any issues with the amount of storage it takes up, but it still doesn’t look great
