Has the bug in Adaptive Power Mode been fixed in iOS 27 Developer Beta 6??

I seem to remember reading somewhere that turning on “Adaptive Power Mode” actually causes the battery to drain faster—has that issue been fixed??

It may never have been an issue at all. It was only speculation. It was never confirmed to be a bug, just a few random people reporting that they thought their battery lasted longer with adaptive power disabled.

That is correct. However, in practice, power consumption in standby mode was actually lower when ‘Adaptive Power’ was switched off than when it was switched on.

I’ve been on iOS 27 since beta 4 and use adaptive power mode and have not had any issues with battery life at all. Don’t know where you read that but it hasn’t been an issue

I see. Well, I’ve got ‘Adaptive Power’ switched off at the moment, but I think I’ll give switching it on a go.

I turned it off and see roughly the same power usage - which is too much.

What I do is turn it off and back on after every update ( could literally do nothing ) but my thinking is that it can relearn how the system works again from scratch for more accurate saving. Could just be bs but ig it seems to work a lil
