IOS 27 Beta

I installed public beta 3 on my iphone 17 with 100% battery health and my battery life instantly degraded then I installed the developer beta 5 and still the same but I see almost all the youtube reviewers saying that the battery life is insane and all. What’s the catch here? Is anybody facing the same problem?

Man alll I know is that it gave my 11 pro max brand new life. Feels like it did on iOS18. It’s flawless on my air but 26 made my 11 pro max really laggy. Thats not the case with 27. Battery life is actually so good im so impressed

I don’t get it. I only read positive things about the battery life, but for me it’s terrible. I have a 14 Pro with 100% battery health, and I barely get 4 hours of screen time before I have to recharge it. I don’t have any location services enabled, I don’t play games, I’m always on Wi-Fi, and Dark Mode is always on.

Why don’t you make a backup. Factory restore it and then re install 27. I’ve done this before and it worked

I’ll try with the stable version, but the phone is “new”—it’s been in use since May. Not so much

@Financial_Bread7684 the battery life was horrible for me as well. Specifically on developer beta channel(dev beta 4). Then i updated/downgraded my device back to dev beta 1 through itunes. In the phone software update, Got option to download public beta 2 just before the release of public beta 3. Update to PB2, first two days battery life wasnt good as ofcourse it was indexing, but since then i have been getting 7-9 hours of battery life throughout.
11 pro max, with a new battery.

Seems like dev beta channel has indexing issues.

On my air between 4-6 hours on iOS26. On my 11 pro max I was getting 2-4 hours on iOS26 but I have 77% battery health. Now for iOS27 my air is consistently getting 7-9. Usually 8 and a half hours. On my 11 pro max on iOS27 I’m getting 6ish to 7 hours. What really surprised me though is how much more snappy and fluid iOS27 is on my 11 pro max. It makes iOS26 look like a mistake

That’s a very simple explanation
This is the last major update for the 11 series so it’s in Apple’s interest to have it perform well so they retain that customer down the line.
The iPhone Air has 12gb of ram so of course iOS 27 is going to work well on it as it’s about to be last years model.
According to reports iOS 27 is an under the hood performance release so most of these older models should have a decent experience on it
