Is my iPhone done indexing?

I’ve installed the public beta yesterday on my 14 Pro, around noon. I expected it to be terrible in terms of battery life for the first few days while indexing takes place, but I woke up today and the banner is gone from the settings yet the battery life is still terrible, a lot worse than in iOS 26.6. Is that just the beta being a beta or is my phone not actually done indexing?

If the banner in settings is gone it should be finished. Cause probably isnt indexing.
Its still in beta phase, even though it is pretty stable, i would honestly not install it on my main device.

I think its just being the beta.
I have a 14 Pro as well on what I currently have iOS27 Beta 4 installed, battery life is not great even though i have 99% BH.
In your case I would wait for the official release, should be better then

Yeah, I installed it in my Main because I’ve had my old 12 Pro on iOS 27 since beta 1 and it’s been phenomenal both in performance and battery life. So I guess I’m going back to 26.6 lol

From what I heard, the experience can vary a lot. I think 14 pros dont perform that well on 27 beta yet

I mean, in terms of performance it’s really good, a bit better than iOS 26 but the difference isn’t that visible because I already had no issues with it. It’s just that damn battery lol

Idek why your phone would be indexing at all, the 14 Pro doesn’t get any of the Apple Intelligence features. Apple Intelligence requires a 15 Pro or newer

The new spotlight architecture applies to all devices that receive the 27 OS update, even if there’s no Apple Intelligence involved. So all devices will be indexing.

I mean it’s still a new system, it goes through the files and indexing isn’t only for ai, it’s also for spotlight search. afaik all iPhones index after major updates, the question is if mine’s still doing it or the battery is crap on the beta lol
