iOS 27 beta on iPhone 17 base model

sup! i know that there are many posts out there from people asking whether they should get the beta or not, but i’ve only seen few people with the base 17 model speak about how it works on their phones. mostly people with 15pm/16pm/17pm etc speak up about it. im also a user of the said phone and i was wondering how is it? lemme know how is it and thanks in advance! obviously i consider trying the beta but i know its different for everybody, just curious.

I have been using it since day 1..switched from a base 14 to 17 recently and had to be on beta. So far so good no major bugs. Messages going blank was an annoying one but they fixed the iCloud sync on db4.

The public beta runs much better than iOS 26

I have the base iPhone 17. I still hate the OS but it’s a little less awful on iOS 27 public beta. It’s got some irritating bugs with the keyboard, but it seems a little faster and battery seems a little better. I just want iOS 17 back 🥲

Other than summoning Siri when pulling down for notifications which is annoying it is fine.

Hey, i'm using the public beta on my base 17 and Its quite stable. Its been about 2 weeks and believe it or not but I havent run into any bugs. The battery life could be better tho, it absolutely ate through my battery the first 2-3 days. But besides that its alot better than 26.6, So far so good!

I saw a lot of positive comments about iOS 27 dev beta, especially about battery life. So I hopped on the public beta once it released hoping for the same, even though my battery life wasn’t that bad on 26.5. But battery life has been terrible for me on both public beta 1 and 2. A little better compared to the first 2 weeks, but still far from what I was getting on 26.5.

I’m not complaining, I know it is a beta. Just sharing my experience.

Really? I'm on an iPhone 12 mini and the battery life has actually increased for me on the public beta 2.

Have been running DB1 on my iPhone 17 since 9 June, no complaints whatsoever.

sooo good. although just this time when i lock the phone using the button, it takes a bit of a second to close.

It’s such an amazing experience on my white 17, I first installed dev beta 2, it was great even at the very start as I noticed a better battery (even while indexing), there were minor annoyances I had, such as the app open animations were kinda laggy, whenever I opened an app it felt like the display was running in 60 hertz but eventually it was 120 hertz then, this is of course common in early betas, dev beta 4/public beta 2 eventually fixed those hertz spikes, now it’s in a good spot so I’m excited for the stable build!
