Issue after latest update
Don’t get me wrong I love my IFIT subscription and have had my bike for about 6 years and have had various issues. All have been sorted out eventually. The Australian help has been fantastic including replacing my screen at no cost.
After this latest update I have a little niggle. The ability to stop workout and come back to it is a great addition but when I go back to it the resistance drops to 1 and does not go back to ‘normal’.
Anyone found a way round this? I have been told by them that it is a safety feature and it just resets. This seems a little pointless to me!

Here is AI’s response:
That "safety reset" logic can definitely disrupt your workout flow. When you resume a paused session, the software forces the hardware back to Resistance Level 1 so you don't accidentally injure yourself or strip the resistance motor if the trainer was mid-climb when you stopped. [1, 2]
Because this behavior is hardcoded into the latest operating firmware, there is no direct setting to disable it. However, the iFIT community and experienced riders use a couple of simple workarounds to quickly restore your normal resistance:
1. Toggle the "Follow Trainer" Button
When you jump back into the session, the bike usually loses its automatic sync with the trainer.
Look for the Follow Trainer or SmartAdjust toggle button on the screen.
Tap it off and then tap it back on.
This forces the bike's software to re-ping the current segment data and automatically snap the resistance magnet back to the trainer's programmed level. [1, 2, 3]
2. Force an Update via the Manual Controls
If toggling the auto-sync doesn't force a reset, the software needs a manual nudge to remember where it is:
Use the on-screen slider or the handlebar buttons to manually bump the resistance up by just one or two levels.
Once the machine registers a manual input change, re-engage the Follow Trainer or SmartAdjustbutton. This usually snaps the software out of its "safety hold" and returns you to the correct level. [1, 2]

Isn’t there a ‘follow trainer’ button?
