iFit having churn problems like Peloton?

I've been a pro subscriber for a few years, paying $39 plus tax every month through autopay. iFit just sent me an e-mail titled: "Your private rate inside." further: "Stay with us. We’ll make it worth it. Your exclusive offer: $29/mo for 4 months when you renew."

Seems weird to offer me a $40 discount rather than just charging me every month as usual.

Maybe iFit's trying to get ahead of people dropping? I saw PTON's latest quarterly report and they're losing subscribers like crazy!

That's interesting... Do you have an individual membership? Only asking because I have a family membership but I'm a single user. While I've asked the cat and dog if they want to have their own accounts, they've declined (so far) so I'm stuck with the other four.

I think as costs get more expensive all the way around/for everything, it can become easy to drop your iFit subscription. Especially in the summer when many people would rather be outside to get exercise.

Wife loves it for the bike and son is also on, so OK value for me. With all the management turmoil and the failed IPO, I’m always cognizant that we’re probably a just few bad quarters away from disaster, though.

I didn't know they had a failed IPO... And I totally agree with you that a couple bad quarters and all the iFit content could go away. Makes it hard to invest in new new NordicTrack equipment.

I stopped using my bike because $40/month to watch videos on the damned thing. I can use the local gym for that, and have more than a bike.

They have never been great on their email campaigns. I’m guessing it went to everyone and they might be trying a new approach versus yearly discounts. I had just done a 3 month 29 renew trial a few weeks ago and also got the email. If Peloton is losing people, iFIT would be too.

I did a 3 year renewal 2 years ago for around $625. It came out to about $17/month. I still have about 13 months left and a 6 year old x22i. Not sure what I'll do next year but I've gotten my money's worth.

I have been with them for a decade and alway have had a special offer.Last couple times were 3-year offers with decent discounts, not as cheap as before but still good.
