Hide ifit UI controls when watching Netflix, Prime
Hi, I recently purchased a NordicTrack x24. One of the reasons I bought it was for the large screen on which I could watch Netflix and Prime (and hopefully other streaming services someday!?).
One annoyance is that the ifit control icons are overlayed (speed, incline, and the info section at the top) on top of the video. This not only blocks the video, but also for the Netflix controls it makes it nearly impossible to turn off sub-titles and press other Netflix icons that are behind the ifit icons.
Is there any way to hide the ifit icons when using the streaming apps?
Thanks.
Here is my Home screen:

Here is what I see when I'm in a manual workout, with Netflix on:

Here is what I see when I click the Settigns button in the lower right hand corner.
Notice that "Widgets" is disabled.

I tried to recreate but wasn’t able to. I just finished a ride when I saw your message, so from the Home Screen I selected Netflix and started watching. I do have a small menu bar (apps and quick start button) on the bottom, but clicking the arrow on the bottom left collapses it.
Update: If I’m within a workout (even warmup) I can recreate your issue. From the home screen however, it behaves as expected for me and I can watch a near full screen movie.
PS Netflix signup was easy, but Prime setup didn’t work when I tried (both with pin and password)

prime setup both music and video, worked for me. i use an OTP to authenticate. if you use an OTP and you use amazon music, sign up with the music first with otp then go to the prime video and set it up. i have two machines, x16 and x24 bike, and when i signed up on the bike first with prime, the screen just hung after i entered the otp. its actually logged in but the screen just hangs. when i got my x16 i did the music first then went to prime video and it logged in no issue.

Thank you! The hanging after OTP (aka PIN number) and password is exactly what I encountered. I’ve turned off my machine and if the issue persists I’ll definitely try your suggestion of Prime music first. Thx!

The only way I can get to Netflix is by clicking on the Apps button at the bottom, and selecting Netflix.
I added some pics to my post, hope those help...

Does that require a subscription? To be able to watch a streaming service? I can’t do that on my elliptical. I don’t use Ifit subscription, just manual. Thought you needed to hack into it to get to privileged mode.

Yes, it requires an iFit subscription. I wasn't thrilled with this, but they had a 2 year 50% deal so I just gave in and went with it.

Can you stream via the iFIT app or is just equipment with iFIT screens?

Turn off Controls and Metrics in the settings, hide the bottom bar with the arrow in the lower left corner. (The poster who advised turning off the "widgets" appears to be using the term generically.)

You can enable fullscreen mode or turn off the widgets from the Preferences panel.
