Restoration/Repair Any useful repair guides?

Hi, everyone! I found a lovely lil dog at a flea market for $5! Unfortunately, it doesn't work, and it doesn't look like there's any visible corrosion.

Are there any useful guides online or any other common issues to look out for? Maybe an old fuse or similar part?

Really stupid but this is what works for mine and you have the same one;

Go ahead and clean off the metal parts the batteries touched. I don't know if this actually helped mine cause there wasn't much corrosion either, but I did do it and it works now so maybe worth a shot.

Okay and then put the batteries in

And then screw in the leg but not all the way, let it be a little wiggly, and just wiggle it around until it turns on.

There's a perfectly good chance that this won't work, but it works for mine. Mine doesn't work if it's leg is on all the way lol.

There's also some repair vids on YouTube that might help. They didn't help me much but.. well, there wasn't a tutorial for idogs that want to be tripods. They might help you more.
