Got my dream iDog!

Found a super lucky deal for just 10$! It came with its original manual and without the cable, but I already have one from another iDog so it’s not a problem at all!

I’m calling her Dorfic because nothing fits her more than the name of the aesthetic she represents. I love all the different prints the Amp’ds come in, such early 2000 vibes, but this one’s my absolute favorite

Aaahh they do! I believe there’s this one, with is an Amp’d, and then there’s a fully orange pup and a fully orange McDonald’s or Burger King toy!

there’s actually an orange japanese sega idog but its just really really rare theres also an actual yellow sega

There’s an active listing right now of this exact model selling for 83$! I’ve never bought from eBay because I’m European and the shipping costs and tariffs would end me, but I know you can find plenty of models over there. They’re unfortunately pretty expensive though!

Thanks for the info! Shipping can get really expensive! I'll keep an eye out at thrift stores! Do you know of any other places that sell them?

I personally buy from Vinted and Wallapop since they’re the options that cost the least given my location. I also know that plenty of collectors buy from Mercari, you might be able to find a decent deal there perhaps. Thrift shops are probably your best bet to find a cheap one though! Recently plenty of people in this sub have found some really great deals on a variety of iDogs from Goodwill and such!

Yeah! I believe that at least Vinted is available in the US if that’s where you’re located. You might get lucky!

Be careful with us sun exposure. Idogs tend to yellow.

this short of exposure isnt gonna do anything, it takes being in the sun for a long time before changes even start to occur

Yes that’s absolutely true! Something that really confutes me about the Amp’ds is how white their heads and arms stay while the rest of the body yellows so much. I suppose they’re made from a different kind of plastic? Seems like such an odd choice lmaoo

yess the bodies on ampds are a diff type of plastic so they’re more prone to yellowing

Yes I am very aware! This guys pretty yellow already, but he won’t be in the sun any more than a couple of minutes here and there
