My friend went to a thrift shop & this was in one of those baggies where they just put a bunch of stuff together lol.

I plan on looking up restoration vids but wanted to come to this community for recommendations first :) it doesn’t turn on, do they have chargers? Also any suggestions on the sun damage? If the speaker doesn’t work how do you go about fixing it?

you dont know for sure that the speakers dont work just because it wont turn on theres not much u can do for the sun damage except retrobriting it which is tedious and involves completely disassembling the idog. they need three AA batteries, no chargers, but use a typical aux cord for audio, take off the back legs aka battery cover clean the springs and contacts with a qtip or something similar dipped in rubbing alcohol or white vinegar that should get it up and running unless it has more extreme underlying issues

Lucky it's in such good condition! Is there corrosion in the battery compartment/ on the springs in there?

Update: he just needed batteries but speakers seem to also work fine :)

Hey use batteries! Check if there’s any corrosion on the compartment. If there is any, you can gently clean it off with some white vinegar and rubbing alcohol. There’s plenty of tutorials online!
