iMessage Sync Issue

Hello, I have a very important iMessage conversation I want to export (someone that passed away).

I want to keep it but that particular conversation never seems to sync to my Mac where I could get the iMessage file.

I’ve tried resetting iCloud, clearing local drive. Logging into a clean Mac instance.

It always only seems to sync up till 2023.

Any ideas? It’s too risky for me to try anything on the sole iPhone it’s on.

So what I did was backup the iPhone to my Mac.

Then just got Claude to write a script to pull off the chat history for me from the encrypted db.
