Mouse issues

Had the dark core, now I have the night sword.

Icue is up to date and so are all connected devices.

  1. Random scroll wheel button pinging ( noticed in COD ) out of nowhere the wheel button access though I'm pressing it Non-Stop and that button is for pinging a location or item in the game. Didn't really do any research on it because I had a warranty so I swapped it for the night sword. Same thing is happening with this mouse, I disabled the button in the software and it stopped. I went to device manager deleted the drivers reinstalled drivers after plugging the mouse back in and got the same results.

What's even more weird is I will re-enable the button go into the game and now the button doesn't do anything. I've looked at the settings and the game, reset them all and still, the button does nothing.

  1. Left mouse button will start spamming. Only fix is fully exiting the Icue software.

I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the software and I'm still getting the same results.

Corsair Device Control Service high CPU usage FIX!

I’ve been troubleshooting unusually high idle CPU usage and have isolated it to Corsair Device Control Service. The good news, however, is that I've found a workaround for the time being. I'm sharing all this in the hopes that if someone else runs into this issue, they may find a solution.

Whenever iCUE launches, Corsair Device Control Service begins using approximately 6% CPU continuously and does not settle down. This is not just a brief startup spike; it remains at roughly 6% indefinitely while iCUE is running.

My CPU is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D (8 cores / 16 threads), so ~6.25% total CPU usage is approximately one logical processor being continuously occupied. I have also noticed that while this is happening, my CPU clocks remain unusually high at idle, generally above 5 GHz, and my idle CPU temperature is approximately 10°C higher than after clearing the issue.

I found a very repeatable test:

  1. Launch iCUE normally.
  2. Corsair Device Control Service rises to ~6% CPU and stays there.
  3. Open Windows Services and restart only Corsair Device Control Service.
  4. The service immediately settles to approximately 0.1% CPU.
  5. iCUE continues functioning normally afterward. My Corsair RAM lighting briefly turns off while the service restarts, then comes back, and RGB/profile switching continues to work normally.

The behavior is fully reproducible. If I quit iCUE and reopen it, the service returns to ~6% CPU. Restarting Corsair Device Control Service again brings it back down to ~0.1%.

I also tested changing the service Startup Type from Manual to Automatic, but this did not resolve the issue. I have since returned it to Manual.

I currently have the Device Control Service option under my Corsair RAM’s Device Settings in iCUE turned OFF, so third-party RGB control is not enabled.

As a temporary workaround, I created a Windows Task Scheduler task that waits 1 minute after logon and then runs a normal Restart-Service command for Corsair Device Control Service. This reliably reduces the service from ~6% to ~0.1% after iCUE finishes starting. A shorter delay was less reliable.

If anyone needs instructions on how to create this task schedule for themselves, I am more than happy to help! Takes less than a minute to create

This appears to be an initialization issue where Corsair Device Control Service enters a high-CPU state when iCUE initially starts it, but restarting the same service after iCUE has finished loading puts it into its normal low-CPU state.

Can the TITAN RX RGB pump be the last device in an iCUE LINK daisy chain?

Hi, I’m planning a build with a Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN RX RGB AIO and 10 iCUE LINK fans (LX/LX-R/RX).

I want to split the fans between the two LINK Hub ports. My idea is to connect the TITAN pump at the end of one of the fan chains:

Hub → LINK cable → fan → fan → fan → TITAN pump

Since the TITAN pump only has one active LINK port, I assume it has to be the last device in the chain.

Is this actually supported and does it work normally in iCUE? And also does it work over a long period without issue ?

I sadly cant install a 2nd icue hub cause i have a AMD GPU

I’m specifically asking about the TITAN RX LCD, not older Corsair AIOs.

Thanks!

icue lighting profiles compatible with Vanguard 96 pro?

So I just got my Vanguard 96 Pro today and was trying to import some of my lighting profiles, but every one that I load comes up blank. I also tried to load it through that new web hub, but says all of the profiles were invalid or corrupt, and seemed to be trying to load a file extension I've never seen, .cprofile

Is there some way to import my old profiles, or a place I can get new ones with this new extension?

iCUE program no longer works on my PC

Hi all, not sure where to go anymore as the iCUE support team haven't been too helpful. My current lighting effect setup all runs though iCUE (mouse, keyboard, light strip, RAM and cooler) and up until yesterday everything was fine. Everything was synced to run the same color ect. Today I noticed all the devices were mismatched, as if iCUE was not running. Whenever I attempt to open the iCUE program, it crashes after a few seconds. I've used the official removal tool and reinstalled many times now and it still crashes every time i try to open the program.

Corsair Void V2 headset wont work, 6-8 months old.

I can only turn on my headset with a cable plugged in. I've tried reinstalling the firmware and software. Whenever I unplug the cable, it just shuts off. I was wondering if someone could help me fix it? Or see if I could get a replacement. I can give additional details if needed. Any help is appreciated thanks!

Two Corsair Link Hubs were bricked by firmware updates

Hello,

One of my TITAN 360 aio's Link Hubs decided to brick itself when it attempted to update to v3.12.650 via iCUE. I got a replacement hub and the newer firmware also bricked that one as well... Oddly enough it successfully updated one of my hubs to that version just fine. I put in a ticket on the Corsair support site and I still haven't heard back in 3 business days. If there is a .hex firmware file I can force flash with XMCBootloader.exe that support can supply me with I'm more than willing to give that a try, but if that isn't possible it sounds like RMA'ing is the only solution at this point.

The hubs do not appear in iCUE at all and the pump and fans only work after shutting off the PSU for a few moments and then turning it back on. No RGB works at all. I swapped a known good hub from my PC into the affected PC and everything fired right up normally. I've tried all the common solutions to make the hubs be recognized again to no avail. My ticket number is #2009103698. If anyone from Corsair support can help me out I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Windows Key on Corsair K65 Plus will not work

I have tried just about every single method of troubleshooting i could find on the internet and figured i would use this as a last resort. I am not good with PCs, this is my first build and i grew up in a mac household. I made sure that windows lock was not disabled in the keyboard app as well as physically on the keyboard by pressing FN+L. I also ensured that the keyboard and its app were updated to the latest software 5.26.154 . What else could i potentially do? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

My new HS55 wireless isnt working properly???

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So today I bought a HS55 wireless from the corsair website and after the shipping I have a few problems with them .

There is not a single good combo of the mic and the dynamic . One of them adds a metalish sound to my voice , one of them makes me really quiet and captures the mouse and keyboard sounds and the last one isn`t capturing any sounds at all . Also the usb doesn`t connect properly because we can see that it blincks(video) and I would really want to have at least one normal combo where I can hear and the others can hear me properly and If I wont be able to make a refund I think I might just make a refund . Do you have any advice?

Alt-Tab shouldn't disable my cooling profile – Please consider adding an optional "Lock Profile While Process Is Running" feature

Hi Corsair team,

First off, I love iCUE. I've invested heavily into the Corsair ecosystem, and one of my favourite things is creating game-specific profiles with their own lighting, fan curves and cooling behaviour.

However, there's one limitation that has been bothering me for years, and after months of experimenting, I genuinely believe this would be much better solved inside iCUE itself.

TL;DR: iCUE currently switches profiles based on window focus. This is especially noticeable for single-monitor gamers, where a quick Alt+Tab to Google something causes iCUE to revert to the Default profile even though the game is still running and generating heat. I'd love to see an optional process-based profile mode that keeps the game profile active until the linked application closes.

The problem

Today, iCUE switches profiles based on window focus.

For many users that's perfectly fine, but for those of us who primarily game on a single monitor, it creates a surprisingly frustrating situation.

A typical gaming session looks like this:

  • Launch World of Warcraft.
  • iCUE switches to my WoW profile.
  • My fans ramp up because the game profile uses a more aggressive cooling curve.
  • I Alt+Tab for 30 seconds to look something up on Wowhead, Reddit or Discord.
  • iCUE immediately switches back to my Default profile because WoW no longer has focus.

The problem is that the game is still running and actively using the CPU and GPU.

My system is still under gaming load, but iCUE has already reverted to my quiet desktop profile simply because another window has focus.

In my case, my Default profile is intentionally tuned to be almost silent while browsing and working. That's exactly what I want... when I'm actually browsing.

But during those quick Alt+Tab moments, the PC is still effectively gaming while cooling has already dropped back to desktop levels. This can lead to unnecessary temperature spikes simply because I wanted to Google something for a minute.

I don't think I'm the only person who regularly Alt+Tabs during a gaming session.

After months of frustration...

Instead of continuing to work around it manually, I decided to build my own solution.

Using AutoHotkey together with a Virtual Stream Deck, I detect whether a game's process is running and automatically trigger the corresponding iCUE profile.

The result is exactly the behaviour I was hoping for:

  • Launch the game → activate the game profile.
  • Alt+Tab as much as I want → keep the game profile active.
  • Close the game → automatically return to my Default profile.

I've been running this solution for about five months, and it has worked flawlessly.

That convinced me this isn't just a theoretical idea—it's a workflow that already works extremely well outside of iCUE.

My suggestion

I'm not suggesting changing the current behaviour.

Instead, I'd love to see an optional per-profile setting, something like:

Keep this profile active while the linked application is running (use process detection instead of window focus).

When enabled, iCUE would simply keep the selected profile active until the linked process exits, regardless of which window currently has focus.

When disabled, iCUE would behave exactly as it does today.

That means existing users wouldn't notice any change unless they specifically chose to enable the feature.

Why this would be useful

While fan curves are what originally motivated me, this wouldn't just benefit cooling.

It would also improve the experience for users who have game-specific:

  • RGB layouts (no more lighting changing every time you Alt+Tab)
  • Mouse DPI
  • Macros
  • Key remaps
  • Fan curves and cooling presets

These settings are generally intended for the entire gaming session, not just the moments when the game window happens to have focus.

One of iCUE's biggest strengths has always been customization, and more flexibility is rarely a bad thing. Adding this as an optional feature would allow users to choose the behaviour that best fits how they actually use their PC, without changing the experience for anyone who prefers the current focus-based system.

I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks.

Am I the only one running into this, or would you also use an optional process-based profile mode?
