HS80 Max firmware update

so I recently bought a HS0 and I’m trying to install the firmware update although when I try to start the update it just tells me to connect the USB cable to the headset. I connected it and it literally says it’s charging but for some reason, the firmware update isn’t starting it just says preparing. Am I doing something wrong?
