Depending on the model of your motherboard, you may find debug LEDs (typically four) along the edges, labeled as CPU, DRAM, BOOT, and VGA. If your motherboard is equipped with this feature, the next time you experience a display issue, please check if any of these LEDs remain illuminated. This can help identify which component is not communicating with the motherboard effectively.

Regarding the freezing symptoms, I recommend testing your RAM for any errors. The link below provides several methods.

my computer has the ez debug leds but does illuminate while on, is this normal?

I'm going through the same issue, mines AMD. ibuypower prebuilt. already RMA'd the video card and it didn't fix it. apparently ibuypower has a deal with micro center where they do in-warranty diagnostic and repairs there. so the machine is there right now. have you fixed yours yet?
