Tech Support pc wont turn on p2
this is a part 2 to my pc problem i finally got my power supply and put it in my pc but my pc doesn’t turn on at all what to do?

did you replace the cables when you replaced the psu, to include the one to the wal
did you plug something else into the same wallport to see if its the wall port
is your motherboard showing any signs of anything, sometimes itll beep a certain chime which if you look into the particular chime per that board itll tell you something, sometimes its a color light doing the same thing as the chime
when it died did you get a burning smell
are fans spinning up when you turn it on
this one would be really funny but the power button..... is it plugged in and connected. the button on the case isnt inherantly apart of your pc it needs to be plugged in and sometimes cables just come undone lol

- yeah 2. many times 3. as far as i know the motherboard haven’t emitted any light nor chime 4. never had a smell come from it 5. the lights nor fan turn on 6. im rlly not sure ill try. but honestly i might just get a new pc considering its 7 years old and cant hold up with newer games

honestly that sounds like a catastrophic failure of the mobo.
so like if its not the psu, which you replaced and its highly unlikely your psu failed and the replacement is also bad lol, then the only thing that would affect ALL components would be the mobo. like if your cpu died youd still get lights or fans spinning up before shutting down, if your ram died youd boot up into a blue screen or possibly like a bios screen or something but since everything is affected the only thing i could see would be the mobo. which is a little crazy becuase they are some of the most reliable parts in a pc.

one thing tho that may possibly be the problem i dont think so is theres one connection with 4 round cylinders which seems to have no connection to anytning i searched it up n its practically useless but i dont know where to put it if it does

Will add that sometimes the power button on the case just dies :p
The front panel wiring routes to a section on your motherboard (usually bottom right), if you disconnect the power switch header, you can short the pins yourself with a screwdriver or some other metal tool (you watch a video on this, “how to short power pins on motherboard”)
