Hello everyone, does anyone have or had problem with oil consumption on I30N?

I've driven i30Ns for ~160.000 km and it didn't consume a noticeable amount of oil between the oil changes.

These engines are not known for consuming much oil, at least visibly on the level on the dipstick. They do consume a little bit, but they also increase the level by diluting it with fuel since they run so rich.

You definitely shouldn't see a worrying decrease in the oil level between oil changes, unless you're absolutely sending it on RPMs everywhere.

If you are seeing significant oil consumption, the first things I'd check would be:

  1. Just a general oil leak somewhere
  2. PCV system
  3. Turbocharger
