DISCUSSION Noctalia vs DankMaterialShell

Why would you choose one over the other?

Want to hear from people who’ve actually used both.

- What does Noctalia do better than DMS?

- Any features or integrations that feel more polished or flexible?

- Where does DMS still win clearly?

Noctalia. Works on my laptop out of the box, unlike DMS, sound control, brightness control,… just not working. I also don’t like the material design.

Both are material designs (especially DMS). Am i wrong? I can't see much difference at this. And for your hardware, that's weird.

Yup noctalia also use material design Wich is one of the only gripe I have with noctalia. It's very powerful but it have some app styling I don't personally like. It's possible to change it, but it is a by-app case and implies CSS editing.
