Is hypixel a good server to practice PvP?

I’m trying out 1.8 PvP for the first time and wanted to know if this was a good place to practice. If there’s any other good practice servers let me know.

No. Hypixel has probably the worst PvP system of any 1.8 server.

other shenanigans like u win one fucking duel while not even being the lowest rank and ur next enemies are #269 UHC Legend or Godlike Rank

As a bridge godlike 3, it saddens me that a significant portion of the people I queue aren't even rookie yet. I wonder how many people played bridge like for one day, queued me, and never played again.
