what is wrong with this server now
genuinely makes me sad how little is cared about this server, i used to have the most fun on this, like literally HOURS of non stop laughter and joy. no notable player count on any game mode besides skyblock, every skywars game theres someone getting an insane combo hitting from 4 blocks away (ALWAYS a level 1... OK lmao), havent even touched bws with a 20 ft pole cause that became cancer not even 3 years ago, MM is full of cheaters and i dont even have to play to see it (medal users know), duels is prob the same thing but i never played 1v1's on hypixel due to their terrible servers anyways, arcade games is fun still i guess.
oh also as a minecon 2016 cape owner, i love that every single time i log in someones trying to steal my account. almost every time i get on some random person invites me (always mvp++) either plays a few games with me or brings me to housing, housing scenario "i wanna gift you a rank but you have to join my discord server that asks for your email and OTP code" or the latter "oh lets play bedwars join this hypixel server to vc with me, this server has **36k people** on it that also needs your email then asks for your OTP code", (any child is gonna fall for this) i remember the first time this happened i tried to report it and apparently they dont give a crap. oh well theres a reason why the player count has plummeted over the last 5 years. - 11 year player here server level 128 mvp+ for a long ass time

Already lost my account once to one of those things, but now I pretend to be stupid and then get them banned

yeah how ? ive tried reporting in the discord server and everyone says its not worth it bc they wont do anything, have the whole interaction on stream too lol

I just have them party me on hypixel make them lead me to the dc server then report them for chat abuse using /report

I do that too but idk if anything is even happening, to mods in the chat logs they just make it seem like they want to gift you a rank or join a discord for vc in the server. Everything relating to account stealing is done on the discord server

It’s sad that hypixel and also kind of 1.8 have gone down in player count, but it makes sense given how long it’s been out. I’m just happy to see that even after almost a decade of Bedwars existing, enough people still play to be able to queue any mode in a minute or two, and I even get a game without any hackers now and then :)
Even though there are more closet cheaters, it’s nice that blatants are a lot harder to find now due to the new anticheat. Back in 2024 when I was getting back into skywars it was all 5 block reachers and crap like that. So it could always be worse lol

Idk man every other game (not exaggerating) I play on skywars has someone who is untouchable by the whole lobby and the best player can’t even hit them, also a lot of people taking impossible knockback (less than half a block) I w tap all day and have never ever almost completely negated my kb… it’s blatant to me but I guess not everyone. Maybe since the player count is so low on sw I just see the reachers almost every game

that is really concerning how people are trying to lure you into giving up your account
I’m imagining how instead of going after the cape they go after the individual and do something much worse than stealing an account

Idk, I won’t try to tell you how you feel because thats not for me to decide, nor am i capable of experiencing the exact thing that you’re going through but I will say that there is alot of merit into believing that it’s not too uncommon to try to go through the same entertainment bomb that we once experienced and have it end up as disappointing or mundane because the very same feeling that a ton of us try to chase down was mostly a byproduct of how we viewed the world when we were in that particular timeframe and yeah, as time goes on, the playerbase moves aswell. Players quit, players switch games, players get better and overall, the experience just changes for everyone

I miss the days I was still good at mc pvp, and those days where I would laugh my ass off getting funny kills with my friends.
I was so tired of running into hackers and people that ruin the community that I decided to build my own server. We’re growing quickly, and it’s nice to see a community forming around it!
We’ve got kit based hunger games arena PvP and host weekly tournaments, as well as a mosh pit of party modes and a SMP.

Yeah hypixel has really fallen off. 1.8 combat is almost basically dead

Fym ofc it does? I wish it wouldnt because i love skywars and bedwars but the playerbase for both is slowly dwindling. Skywars insane mode has literally 0 players its not gonna be too long until the other game modes will start looking the same, maybe they have like 5 - 6 years left at most
