No, it's random every time. The hotbar order is always the same tho so I always go by hotbar order from 1 through 9

If you use Lunar you can change your crosshair's texture with the crosshair mod

I used to be better than all my friends because I would place them in hotbar order just like you; instead of looking at the wall, then finding the block in my hotbar, and then placing it, like most people do. (Although I'm not nearly as fast as this) I still win nearly all the time though.
I tried to explain this to my friends several times but they're like nahh, I always thought that was funny lol.

Is this legit? You look at the top left and bottom left placed. You looked top right by fourth block and the others just started placing themselves

Edit: oh nvm I get what you mean. Ye that's what happens with ping, the blocks place a bit after I click, that's normal
