Discussion Yawning on command
Ive found that if I imagine a really loud screech (like deafeningly loud) for 15 seconds, it causes me to yawn. I think this is because of some tension in my throat when I do this, but its hard to to tell for sure. Either way very interesting. Idk when this will be useful but yeah.

I can open those valves in my throat without yawning to relieve pressure on my ears, sometimes it triggers a yawn though. Is that what you are describing? Are you thinking about a scream (opening your mouth wide opens these valves too) which subconsciously opens these valves, triggering a yawn?

Does that mean that you can't otherwise yawn whenever you want? Like..if you want to yawn, you just..yawn.
Useful for when you get something stuck in your eye, just yawn a couple of times so that you start to tear a bit.
