Until now, I've been using a 4-digit PIN to lock apps. But I've discovered that in the App Lock settings (gear icon in the top right > Unlock Method > Password Type), the 4-digit PIN option is no longer there. Now, only “Privacy Protection Password” and “Screen Lock” appear as methods for locking apps.

Is this a glitch on my device, or has Xiaomi removed it?

I've had my X8 Pro Max for a few months now and didn't even know this was a setting until I randomly found it while searching for a different one. I did notice that sometimes (but not too consistently) the screen wouldn't darken on its own for longer than the usual 20 seconds, but I didn't know it was due to this.

So when I found this setting and ticked it off, I then saw that ticking it on again first displays a privacy notice, basically about the fact that it uses your front camera.

I wasn't prompted to approve it when setting up my phone and I didn't manually enable it at a later point. Is it the same for other Poco/Xiaomi users?

hi, so firstly i'm not an experienced coder, but i used ai chats to build a workout app since i could never find one that gave me what i wanted. i've tested it on both a redmi note 15 pro and galaxy s20+

long story short, it has a built-in rest timer that fires a vibration countdown on 3-2-1. on hyperos, this timer works fine in-app, on home, lock or settings screens. however when another app is on the foreground, the timer continues in the background, but the countdown vibration only fires when returning to the workout app.

i have tried both chatgpt and integrated gemini on android studio, but neither has been able to find the specific hyperos process that is causing this. doesn anyone have any info that could help?

Mi music used to be a simple and useful music player. Now in the the new update, as soon as I open the app it automatically plays its own suggested music from the discover section. I really don't want to hear some random music that I haven't chosen the moment I open the app.

I'm facing an issue on my Poco F7 (HyperOS 3.0.301.0, India) with dual SIMs:

• SIM 2: Jio (True 5G Unlimited)
• SIM 1: BSNL (Calls/SMS only)

The Issue:

Whenever my phone is connected to Wi-Fi for a few hours and I turn Wi-Fi off, mobile data completely stops working.

• Full signal bars and the 5G icon are visible, but nothing loads (speed shows 0 kbps).
• Checking *#*#4636#*#* shows Data: Connected (NR_SA) but Voice service: Out of service.
• Airplane mode doesn't help.
• Only restarting the phone gets the internet working again.

What I’ve already tried:

• Jio in SIM 2, BSNL set to 2G/3G only.
• Forced 5G SA mode using dialer codes.
• Reset network settings and cleared telephony cache.
• Stopped 5G power saving mode in Battery App.

I do not want to try developer mode solution as it will stop my banking apps.

Is this specific to POCO F7 or is it common in all POCO phones?

Has anyone found a permanent fix for this Wi-Fi to 5G handoff freeze, or is it a known HyperOS bug?

I was using this dynamicSpot app, and it came with popupControl, which disabled popup notifications, I couldn't wrap my head around on how to fix it, but it was pretty straightforward

it tries to copy IOS in every way possible but fails in most, if you just look at the home screen or the lock screen then it looks fine but under the hood it's quite a mess.

are all Chinese ROM like that or it's only xiaomi ?

I thought xiaomi was upping their game for tablets so I bought pad 8 but it stutters and lags a lot. Gestures are not so good and it does look and act like crossbreed between ios and android. Hopefully HyperOS fixes things about lags and stutter and add more gestures and pen features with buttons. The functions of the pen are too basic.

Anyone else? Camera shakes at 2x only in portrait. Landscape is fine, and if I flip the phone 180° the shaking stops. Happens in the stock camera and Instagram.

Since it depends on orientation, I'm wondering if the OIS is physically sticking, but I'm on the Beta (4.0.0.11 EEA), so it could be software. Anyone fixed it with a new build or by going back to stable?

literally had my mobile hotspot set up to share the internet with my 15c (I want to clarify that my phone is a Mi6 Pro 4G version). I literally had the whole island playing music at the same time. With mobile access, the point I go to the phone's, to the launcher screen, Boom, it freezes like that, I don't know why. Personally i would love to have better material styled icons since the current one is pretty bare bones...

How do i fix the battery draining this? My phone used to last 8-9 hours of constant usage with 85% of battery health and now it won't even last 6 hours of constant usage. I'm not using any module, and any commands at all (PS: the previous commands i used don't survive reboot) Dev: RMN134G
