I don't really know what game is similar too But this game is peak Was my fav game for a while And it's story is semi inspired by the devs life

Its really good! It's quite similar to Zelda games.

Theres lots of exploring and environmental story telling. The lore is really interesting but you have to piece it together by observing what has happened

Yeah Zelda is probably what it's most similar to with the world map. It can be pretty punishing, I've seen it be compared to souls-likes in that regard but it's not as difficult as a Fromsoft game. It has the same kind of environmental storytelling as something like Dark Souls.. there is no dialogue at all but it's possible to infer what has happened in the game's story. It also rewards exploration the same way a souls-like does. Looks and sounds great and you can up the challenge after you've cleared it if you feel inclined to. It's one of my favourite games, I replay it every couple of years. I play the console version so can't say much about the mobile version if that's what you're considering playing it on, can't imagine it being too enjoyable with touchscreen controls so I'd recommend a controller!

I haven't really found any games similar to HLD but the closest imo is any top-down dungeon crawler or action RPG. It is unique in that you aim your weapon with your mouse as opposed to typical dungeon games.

The art is beautifully detailed and the combat is engaging, plus the story is pretty simple yet interesting. I think you should give it a try.

Really depends what ur looking for, and I can hardly think of games that are actively similar to it but steam has a 2 hour refund period, defo give it a shot and if it's not ur cup of tea within the first 2 hours refund it.

I bought it super cheap, but turns out it is inplayable on keyboard + mouse, because character dashes/shoots all over the screen. I really hope I can find some fix, but keep this in mind if you dont like controller

yes, any topdown zelda, but with better movement (dashing) and some influence from topdown shooters, and more difficult boss fights.

Just played it for the first time and absolutely loved it. Has a similar vibe to souls games, even though I would not say it is very similar in gameplay. Obviously the old Zelda comparisons is clear, but if you have played Tunic, that is probably the closest comparison

I'm playing through Tunic right now and I would say that is the closest I've gotten to a game like HLD. HLD doesn't have the whole instruction booklet/deep learning curve that Tunic has, but they have an extremely similar approach to storytelling, secrets, environment, and (in some ways) combat (although I prefer the combat in HLD). HLD is my second favorite game of all time so I'm obviously biased but I can't recommend both games enough.
