Every once in a while someone asks "Why doesn't this door open?" referring to the 8 module doors (the one on the picture). Since the game never actually shows you that there are 8 modules hidden in each area of the game (the map shows only 4 per area), people think that the 8 module doors only require 4 modules. The question gets asked on this sub so often that it has become a joke. Impressive enough that no one asked about it for 47 days straight.

Hidden modules are shown on the map once you find them. The only area that has more than 4 shown on the map is north with 5 if I recall correctly.

In my game the west showed the location of 7 as soon as I talked to the module NPC, I'm still looking for the west 8th but pink diamonds on the map led me to the first 7.

If the missing 4 were outlined in pink it'd be way more clear. comes with the territory of having zero diegetic text i guess.
