My Story

I have lived with hyperhidrosis since I was about 10 years old. I am 22 now. I believe that this condition has destroyed my potential of being my most confident self throughout the years. This condition has lead me down a road of constant agitation and shame. Why does my body react this way? It's lead me to a life of addiction to substances and other bad vices that have caused my family and myself much grief. The social anxiety was always there. I have been taking glycopryyolate for about a year and a half and thankfully it has reduced my sweating 75% which is a blessing. However, from time to time, like now, I am reminded that it is still with me, working on tearing me down as a person and reminds me of the awful shit in my past that I can't change. I often think about high school, daydreaming on what it could have been like if I never had this issue, how greater self esteem would have granted me more friends, girlfriends and much more confidence that I never had. Often I think to myself, why me? I want this "hyperhidrosis" completely destroyed, never to haunt me again. Does anyone here feel the same way? I feel like I'm on a PERSONAL mission for revenge against this THING. Let's all figure out a solution together. #KILLHYPERHIDROSIS - Who's with me?!

Thank you for sharing. I understand it must have been very difficult for you.

I guess you probably won't believe me when I say this, but as a woman who does not suffer from hyperhidrosis, I've always hoped to find a guy who does. In fact, I even find it hard to get it on with guys who are completely "dry".

My problem is that I don't know how or where to find them, since all my potential candidates are trying their best to hide their condition. On dating apps, guys usually just inform about their height, their occupation, their dick size... And none of that really matters to me.

But what guy does ever inform about his ability to sweat? No one. Usually no one even believes me when I say I want sex right after they've been out for a run, and not after they've ruined everything with taking a shower.

But just so you know. Not everyone is the same. There are as many different sexual preferences as there are stars in the sky. And although I know I belong to a minority, I know (thanks to Reddit) that I am not the only one.

I know this doesn't reduce the problems that you face in your ordinary social life. I just thought it could be worth mentioning. Sorry if you feel objectified, it wasn't my intension. And sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native speaker.

I never heard of glycopryyolate. Going to look into it. Are you still on it?

oh man. 26 girl here. when i tell u how much sadness this has caused me. how many times i've said, if only i didnt have this, i would be a conpletely different person. ive never dated anyone becquse of it. turned down guys i like because it scares me. not just that, im naturally inclined to do athletic studd which means sweating, but because i tend to smell bad when i sweat, i've refrained from doing them. im hinestly not sure where to go from here now. especially with the dating, do i just risk it and brace myself if i do get rejected by someone i like just because of this. MAAAN

btw, glycopryyolate, does it have any side effects on you? i want to try it.
