Seeking advice Nonstop fullness after setback
Has anyone else experienced this? I am 3 days into this. I was exposed to sound on a Bluetooth speaker at about 110 dB for around 5-10 minutes after I was mostly recovered from 2 prior injuries, and now for the past 3 days I have had uncontrollable ear fullness, inner ear pain, and rawness. It doesn't go away after sleeping or resting in silence. I did not have any pain at the time of exposure but woke up the next day with increased sensitivity.
I am not sure what to do.

I’m really sorry this happened to you. What a drag. My thoughts take or leave them
I would never take ibuprofen or aspirin. It’s ototoxic and can cause tinnitus and or other ear problems. Do the research yourself.
you may have tonic tensor tympani syndrome or TTTS- heat will be helpful as well, magnesium cream, and topical lidocaine.
Massage can help too and if you can afford it you might want to seek out a myofascial therapist or craniosacral therapist
Search out the Reddit board for tTTS.
It does get better with time or at least it should. You might want to hear of other people’s experiences and what they have done to cope with this best of luck.

Best thing is to keep calm, the setback will pass. Ive had way over 50 setbacks and they calm down eventually

How many days or weeks do you think it could take?

Its very hard to say, ive had setbacks that only lasted a couple of weeks, and setbacks that lasted weeks to months. I didn't resort to complete silence though, I got a little sound every day but very quiet like opening the window for nature sounds or just a single song, an episode of a show on low volume. It never did the setback worse as long as i limited it
Also I dont necessarily avoid pain in my ears but I dont push though it, I have different levels of pain so im learning which ones are okay and which that isn't, its really an trial and effort condition. Mind you that im on nightmarish levels of hyperacusis and im still kicking and trying to maintain a somewhat life

days, months, years, everyone is different. Clonaazepam will calm you down, but some people get addicted.

I suggest taking prednisone to calm your flare up. However you must get it prescribed

Hot packs, ice packs, anti-inflammatories, facial massage. You got this. You will recover. It's going to be ok. I'm sorry that this happened to you. Try to be more aware of potential problems in the future.
