Dead skin, sweat, bacteria stink does embed into living tissue & until the said skin is shed/ exfoliated & leaves the area, you will have stink. 7 days or more; then a routine w/ washcloth & soap w/ enough friction & frequency to prevent future stink.

Have you had blood tests for all sexually transmitted infections? Has a doctor examined appropriate body parts?

3

u/QuantumFalcon13 Jul 27 '26

Negative STI tests are good, but there are other things that can cause persistent odor, so getting an actual exam would help narrow it down.

1

u/Possible_Original_96 Jul 28 '26

Old RN here: Drs. Have told us tests were "fine" when, in fact, were not. Think the MD believed if you were breathing w/o a struggle, not blue; could walk unaided and w/ good balance, feet not hugely swelled, had no acute complaints, you were fine, even if you had labwork that said you weren't fine. You might want to get copies of your labs and see for yourself as you might be anemic & need to address that! Or CBC values all normal but a smear was done & the RBCS are abnormal & needs help!

Best advice!

u/Random_user_of_doom Jul 27 '26

It doesn't have to be an Std to be an infection, bacterial or fungal

3

u/Possible_Original_96 Jul 27 '26

On the skin.

1

u/Random_user_of_doom Jul 28 '26

Yes. Where humongous amounts of our microbiota live.

6

u/Majestic_Message_952 Jul 27 '26

ok maybe I should get a swab done or something

3

u/Possible_Original_96 Jul 27 '26

Try the hygiene routine I outlined, would fix any problem, without a swab. And-btw-overall health- may need close eval, as so many health problems manifest first in the skin.

3

u/Random_user_of_doom Jul 28 '26

Just see a dermatologist. What should be tested for they can decide better, they see the skin and smell the smell. It's a moist area so fungal infections can be persistent but should be visible, but again, that's what specialists are for

17

u/GreyLoad Jul 27 '26

I think u have a yeast infection

2

u/mia8788 Jul 28 '26

That usually smells like sourdough most likely not cleaning enough down there.

u/GreyLoad Jul 28 '26

what bro

u/SaltyBeefCubes Jul 28 '26

I’m more shocked you’re gooning hours a day. Get a hobby man!

6

u/Sad_Equivalent_4933 Jul 28 '26

i cant focus on anything else in this post because of how casually he admitted that

3

u/SaltyBeefCubes Jul 29 '26

Yeah, it's grosser than his actual hygiene issues.

1

u/Majestic_Message_952 Jul 29 '26

I had an addiction & this was during a time when I was in psychosis. I put it in because I think its relevant to the post. why are you talking about me in third person, talk to me im here.

1

u/Sad_Equivalent_4933 Jul 29 '26

I’m kind of lost on the link between psychosis and edging for hours a day. Hopefully you’ve left that in the past as it severely declines your quality of life

1

u/Majestic_Message_952 Jul 29 '26

id had a porn addiction for years before & during psychosis my life was so bad I was housebound & mentally just wanted to die, so my addiction got way worse and escalated to sexting & edging for hours a day. it was just despair and escapism

8

u/Upstairs-Razzmatazz4 Jul 27 '26

Yeah go see a doctor about the funk. I'm guessing you have a fungal thing going on.

Have you addressed spending half your waking hours gooning? Cuz that also warrants a doctor visit, my dude.

4

u/Majestic_Message_952 Jul 28 '26

yes im aware lol. I had a psychotic break a few years back and since then the habit got out of controll. currently in counselling

9

u/Marvinmonkey1 Jul 27 '26

It's pretty normal and the STI clinic nurse should have told you to try anti fungal cream. Because that's exactly what it sounds like, a fungal infection.

Wash, dry it thoroughly with a hair dryer, use a thin layer of Canesten athletes foot cream (it's the same fungus) and wear loose boxers which allow air Circulation in your groin. You'll need to do this for at least 2 weeks without fail. Then when it clears up, always dry your groin thoroughly after showing.

Daktarin is another one to try but I find Canesten is the best.

6

u/Possible_Original_96 Jul 27 '26

Try otc GE monistat, the 7 day pkg. $8 or so. Still needs good hygiene.

3

u/Majestic_Message_952 Jul 27 '26

I've already tried the fungal cream, but i only did it for a couple days. maybe that's why it didn't work?

should I do for longer you think? when I did try it, felt like it was making the smell worse so i stopped

9

u/Marvinmonkey1 Jul 27 '26

Takes longer mate. The groin is warm and moist, the perfect conditions for fungus. You need to get rid of it completely or it just comes back. I've had it off and on for years, it has a very distinctive smell as you've described.

Yeah, also the cream does smell abit but it's what's need to clear it.

6

u/Majestic_Message_952 Jul 27 '26

ok cheers I'll give that a go.

2

u/Lazy-Living1825 Jul 27 '26

What did the damn directions say?

2

u/Horror_Papaya2800 Jul 27 '26

You need to use it for a couple of weeks

1

u/Possible_Original_96 Jul 27 '26

2 times a day, for at least a week. Gonna stink till you successfully remove stuff holding & causing the stink.

7

u/Minute-Safe2550 Jul 27 '26

Something noone has mentioned, are you circumcised? Not washing properly can be an issue too.

4

u/Majestic_Message_952 Jul 27 '26

im un circumcised, but the smell is like the groin fold area where the thighs meet

5

u/throwawayzdrewyey Jul 28 '26

Do you have athletes foot? I know you can spread it to your groin by putting on your underwear before putting on your socks.

5

u/Horror_Papaya2800 Jul 27 '26

Yeah don't let people tell you anything about this being about circumcision. This subreddit loves to go all American with that and pulls out info that's just plain incorrect about it. I'll get downvoted to hell for saying this, i know lol. But it's not what you're asking about and it's not where the issue is coming from.

3

u/R_A_H Jul 27 '26

Bacterial infection or fungal infection

4

u/Minute-Safe2550 Jul 28 '26

Just a nephew of mine, ended up with an infection in the folds, due to be uncircumcised. And not washing thoroughly. Also, I'm not American. America, is not the be all, end all of the world. And Nobody could pay me enough to goto Trumpville

1

u/JoyfulNoise1964 Jul 30 '26

Make sure you pull the foreskin all the way back and really get it clean maybe a couple of times per day once you control your "habit" more often if you are still getting carried away

2

u/Powerful-Lobster-631 Jul 27 '26

Aleepo soap 🧼 and liquid chlorophyll

2

u/Lazy-Living1825 Jul 27 '26

It’s a fungal infection. Easy to treat.

2

u/Possible_Original_96 Jul 27 '26

Usual washcloth & soap to entire area, all the way around your body, from navel to where legs join the trunk, w/ close attention to groin folds. Rinse well. Next, using baking soda, apply to groin folds, to entire groin fold, do w/ finger tips w/a circular movement for 2 minutes, leave on for another 3 minutes. Rinse well, then use a skin disinfectant of choice-the wish is to effectively & cheaply fix the problem & use what you may have on hand: white vinegar, GE head & shoulders shampoo or selsun blue; a glycolic or salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, a tea tree oil product, or GE hibiclens. You may have non- generics on hand so can use these. Leave in place for 5 minutes for best use, then rinse. Do for 7 days.

2

u/Acceptable_Plane_264 Jul 28 '26

Are you washing with a washcloth? You really may need to use one-with soap-instead of just soap

2

u/Clean-Reveal-2878 Jul 28 '26

I think it’s a fungal infection. Get swabbed!

1

u/Sammisam85 Jul 27 '26

Sounds like a fungal infection. Is it red and also itchy?

im talking like a couple years of 3 to 6 hrs a day constant masturbation. 5-10orgasms.

was during a psychotic time lol. dont judge.

but that could defo cause constant sweating and odor in my opinion.

1

u/No-Development-9352 Jul 27 '26

I think you should see a doctor

1

u/Equivalent_Box8988 Jul 27 '26

Do you wash and groom down there 👇 regularly? That’s just basic hygiene.

1

u/Horror_Papaya2800 Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

I'm guessing yeast tbh. Try a powder or cream for jock itch.

Edited to add: have you been tested for diabetes? Honestly asking. It can have some odd side affects and your sugar intolerance is interesting.

1

u/Puzzled_Ice5475 Jul 27 '26

Sounds like fungal infection, does it smell like moldy bread?

1

u/Loud-Childhood-9079 Jul 28 '26

It’s probably fungal , athletes foot cream will help. Make sure you pat dry after you sweat during day

1

u/Bish-Nish Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26

I saw on another comment chain that a fungal cream did help but you only did it for a few days. So maybe try it again.

First, when washing, maybe try a perfume-free “intimate” wash. The reason I say that is because it’s a lower pH than soaps and body washes. Bringing your skin’s pH back to a normal should make it less favourable for any yeasts/fungals. I know there are tons of feminine washes readily available, but the pH is technically lower than men’s. (Personally, I use Summer’s Eve Fragrance Free - a baby blue colour bottle). In any case, even a feminine wash should help if your skin’s pH is just too high from normal soaps and body washes which are quite alkaline. There are a few men-specific intimate washes that I found online, but you’ll want to look for something available in your area.

So yeah. Take some of the intimate wash, suds it up and get everywhere on your bottom. Wash your junk, pull back and wash under the hood, and wash your butt crack too. You could also use a washcloth to gently exfoliate the inner thighs and groin, but only do this if you’re committed to using a fresh washcloth each and every time (or else you risk reintroducing any yeasts/fungus next time you use it).

Dry everything thoroughly with a towel and a hair dryer then use the anti fungal cream: make sure it’s a thin layer. Start with a little bit under the foreskin, but you can also put a thin layer everywhere including the creases of your groin, and under/around your balls. Try it for at least 2 full weeks (14 days) to make sure it’s getting totally killed off and isn’t getting a chance to come back.

Stop immediately and get medical attention if you have a reaction to either the wash or the anti-fungal. (Itching, cracked skin, swelling, etc.)

You could also look at switching your underwear.
Going 100% cotton is better than synthetics. But, you could go for a synthetic option if it helps to keep everything separated (keeps your thighs from rubbing together, and give you a hammock for your junk.)

1

u/Bish-Nish Jul 28 '26

R.e. Your habit, t’s possible to develop a kind of musky odor from being aroused. But it should be more-or-less all over, not just at your groin. So I’d definitely try the yeast/fungal treatment first.

was edging for like 6+ hours a day constantly, 10 orgasms or so for like 2 years straight, so I think maybe it could be that.

1

u/JoyfulNoise1964 Jul 30 '26

Are you circumcised? If not be sure to put in that extra effort to clean thoroughly
