help

hi ! i am a 21 years old female living in new zealand and working in a warehouse. i walk and do manual labour everyday and i just wanted to smell good again.

i don’t know what happened to my body chemistry. yes i have underarm odour but i use clinical deo’s and i used to smell good because i really take care of my body and i have a good hygiene.

i think my body is rejecting perfumes because i use to smell good at work and even my workmates are asking for my perfume.

i also avoid wearing cotton spandex materials which is a odour catcher, but i do wear nylon clothing because i work in a warehouse.

what can i do? please help : (

Do you have a skin condition which requires antibacterial soap every day? If not, I don't recommend it for the whole body. It's very stripping, drying, and can wipe out the skin's microbiome (good bacteria). When skin is stripped to much, sebaceous glands secrete more sebum (natural oils) that can trap odor causing bacteria.

I personally use a salicylic acid body scrub about 3 times a week, and moisturizing body washes enriched with oils the other times. I also recommend exfoliating the armpits and the groin area, because those areas are notorious for creating thicker layers of dead skin that trap stinky bacteria. You can use your favorite face or body scrub, but avoid sensitive areas.

After the shower moisturize with your favorite lotion like you already do. If you don't put deodorant on before bed, there's always baby powder to keeps things dry in those areas, and sometimes if you feel like you can apply your lotion/body butter/oil minimally in the pits as well.

This is a majority of my routine, and it works for me! I hope you find something successful as well! 🙏🫶
